Nigella Lawson leaves viewers in hysterics with innuendo-fuelled cookery lesson as she garnishes mini-sausages and prepares pastries

Nigella Lawson thrilled viewers once again with her latest flirty cooking segment for Nigella's Amsterdam Christmas.

The TV chef, 63, helped viewers get into the festive spirit with her cooking advice in the one-off BBC special, in which she garnished mini sausages.

In another segment, the star showed the audience how she whipped up a batch of savory pastries in her typically sultry way.

In the clip she said: 'I recommend using the back of a spoon or something similar to do this safely.

'Immediately brush the bars with apricot jam and lemon juice. Top with a generous amount of slivered almonds and sprinkle and zigzag over a citrus glaze.'

Nigella recently opened up about how she doesn't necessarily stick to Christmas tradition when it comes to cooking.

She told The Sunday Times: 'Although I love a slice of thick, moist Christmas cake, especially when eaten with a slice of strong, sharp cheese, I am surrounded by people who hate dried fruit in all its seasonal forms.

“If no one in your family likes dried fruit, there's no point in letting a Christmas cake gather dust or just be eaten by the suffering.” If chocolate cake appeals more to you, go for it.”
