It looks like Nicole Richie is still in deep character after her last appearance as a super chic fashion exec.

The Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead actress, 42, stepped out in a sexy little black dress while promoting the upcoming BET+ remake on The Drew Barrymore Show in New York City on Tuesday.

She wore a black crossover halter dress that hugged her figure, paired with a black leather belt with a gold buckle.

The Simple Life alum also put on a leggy display in black stockings and matching leather pumps.

Richie stars as fashion executive Rose Lindsey in the upcoming remake of the 1991 dark comedy Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead.

“I’ve been a fan of Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead since day one; Getting the opportunity to play Rose is a dream come true,” she told Entertainment Weekly.

Simone Joy Jones plays Tanya Crandell (a surrogate for the character created by Christina Applegate), a teenage girl who is tasked with caring for her siblings over the summer after their mother leaves town and the babysitter dies unexpectedly.

Tanya lies about her age and experience and becomes the executive assistant to Rose, who was originally played by Joanna Cassidy.

Richie and Cassidy, 78, both attended the film’s premiere in Los Angeles last week.

The House of Harlow mogul’s husband Joel Madden, their daughter Harlow, 16, and 14-year-old son Sparrow were there to show their support.

She told Today that her children’s teenage years have been her “favorite phase” of parenthood so far.

“I remember being 16 so clearly that it’s actually surprising how quickly I can get back there,” Richie said.

Nicole’s husband Joel Madden, their daughter Harlow, 16, and 14-year-old son Sparrow were on hand to show their support at the Los Angeles premiere last week, as were her father Lionel Richie and his girlfriend Lisa Parigi

“When my daughter tells me drama with her friends, I say, ‘I remember it. Laila Heckmath did that to me,'” she added.

“I remember the first and last name, so it’s fun. It’s wild. And simply the best.’

Nicole’s father Lionel Richie and his girlfriend Lisa Parigi also stopped by to cheer on his daughter at the premiere, posing together on the red carpet.

‘Everyone came, the whole family came. It was really sweet,” she said on Today.

Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead opens in theaters on April 12 and streams on Hulu on May 16.
