Nicole Richie looked fabulous in a chic black dress as she dined out at Saffy’s on Fountain restaurant in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

The star, 41, opted for a black maxi dress with a cut-out detail along her upper bust.

The mother-of-two paired the sleeveless, high-necked number with eye-catching earrings and a large bracelet.

The fashion designer carried a large tote bag — from her 1960s House of Harlow brand — over one shoulder as she waited for her car outside the restaurant, chatting with her friends.

The stunner completed her stylish look with her hair in a bun and opted for minimal makeup.

Nicole has taken a step back from the limelight – after her start on the reality show The Simple Life with bestie Paris Hilton.

The star founded the House of Harlow 1960 lifestyle brand in 2008, which includes clothing, accessories, swimwear, footwear and home fragrances.

Nicole is a mother of two with husband Joel Madden: daughter Harlow, 15, and son Sparrow, 13.

Nicole and Joel got married in 2010.

Her younger sister Sofia Richie revealed earlier this month that she is following in Nicole’s footsteps and launching her own fashion line.

She launches a clothing brand based on her own style.

The star, who married Elliot Grainge in April 2023 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, is co-designing the line with someone called Cass, she revealed in an interview with Who What Wear.

‘The aesthetics are all my feeling. I made sure, by trying on each one, that I embody the aesthetic I’ve been wearing. It’s me 100%.’

Sofia, 24, added that she will not be the face of the brand – unlike many celebrity-run brands currently on the market.

The stunner revealed that her sister Nicole and her House of Harlow brand served as a teaching tool for her and took notes on how she wants to run her brand.

“I’ve watched Nicole design with House of Harlow for years, and it’s definitely been inspiring to me,” said Sofia.

“I took notes and I learned a lot. We don’t have to be people who just throw our names on things.”

“We can be passionate and involved,” the newlywed added.

She told the outlet that she “co-designs with our designer named Cass,” adding that she’s “brilliant, and it was pretty much the same vibe as when I started putting together wedding looks with (her stylist) Liat (Baruch). ‘

Sofia explained that Cass came to her house and they sat in her backyard in sweatpants to come up with ideas for the brand.

“We started with things in life that inspire us. For me it was art and music. We built this whole story based on things that inspire us,” said Sofia.

Sofia said she hopes everyone who buys pieces from her brand feel good about them.

“I hope people love it,” she commented.

Sofia married in late April 2023 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, in a custom Chanel wedding dress in front of close friends and family – including father Lionel Richie, sister Nicole and her husband Joel Madden, Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden and more.

Sofia and Elliot, a music executive, started dating in January 2021, months after she divorced Scott Disick for good, who she dated for three years.
