Nicole Richie shared a sweet photo with three generations of her family as she celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday.
But it almost seemed like two generations, as Nicole’s 15-year-old daughter Harlow looked so much like her that she could have been her sister.
The 41-year-old reality star and socialite looked elegant in a black jumper and matching slacks, while Harlow complemented her in her own thin black top, teamed with contrasting beige khaki cargo pants.
Sister among the mother-daughter duo was Nicole’s mother Brenda Harvey Richie, the first wife of her father Lionel Richie.
Rounding out the group photo was Nicole’s sister Sofia Richie, who is the product of Lionel’s second marriage to Diane Alexander.
Nicole captioned the family photo “We all love you” and “Happy Mothers Day Queen,” indicating that even Sofia shared affection for her sister’s mother.
Brenda looked glamorous in a lacy yellow dress with coral-like stitching, and she wore her long dark brown hair in thick curls that rested over her chest.
Sofia kept it casual in a white top with black pants.
It wasn’t clear if the quartet had taken the photo for Mother’s Day, or if Nicole was repurposing an older photo.
She also placed several of her mom’s legacies at her most glamorous, when she was just a kid.
Brenda wore a striking white striped blazer with a multi-patterned black and white dress in one adorable snap, while little Nicole wore a white dress and carried a stuffed bear with a crown on its head.
She was a bit older in a follow-up photo that illustrates how much she and her mom used to match their outfits.
The two wore matching black dresses covered in identical gold designs, though Brenda’s look seemed a bit more sheer.

“No one can ever walk through your house and question your love for me,” she wrote over a photo of two visitors posing with one of the portraits.
She and Brenda apparently had another portrait, which was framed in gold and showed the two in lace-beaded dresses.
A third portrait of the two was illustrated, but it was a crushing resemblance.
Looking back at a photo of herself and her mother dressed in hats, she joked that she would wear them to put them back on for the holidays. ‘

“And finally I want to apologize for shaving my eyebrows and lying to you when I was 13,” she wrote.
“I got a serious brow and desperately needed a pick-me-up, and you got in my way,” she added, flipping the blade for comedic effect.
Nicole is Brenda and Lionel’s adoptive daughter. She was born to Peter Michael Escovedo, a member of Lionel’s band, and Karen Moss.
When she was three, her parents Lionel and Brenda asked to take care of her, as they could not afford her needs. They became her guardians and six years later the arrangement became permanent when they officially adopted her.
Despite popping up in Nicole’s Mother’s Day post, her sister Sofia also shared her own tribute to her mother Diane Alexander Richie.
Happy mother’s day to the queen of my life @dianekrichie,” she captioned a photo of her mom looking glamorous.
The fashion designer wore a sizzling sheer dress decorated with golden floral designs as she descended a grand staircase.
“I love you so much mom,” Sofia captioned a photo of herself and her brother Miles sitting between their mother’s legs in a black and white shot taken at a photo studio.
