Nicole Kidman’s younger co-star Harris Dickinson talks ’embarrassing’ moment during Babygirl sex scenes

Nicole Kidman’s co-star Harris Dickinson revealed what it was like filming steamy sex scenes on the set of their new movie Babygirl.

The 28-year-old Iron Claw actor stars opposite the Big Little Lies star, 57, in the erotic film – directed by Halina Reijn – in which they embark on an affair.

Harris shared that he and Nicole worked with an intimacy coordinator, and admitted that one of his unrehearsed sexy scenes was “embarrassing” to film, in a new interview with Variety.

“We had a conversation with the intimacy coordinator and then Nicole and I kind of did our own thing with it, once we established the parameters of what we were both comfortable with,” he said.

‘The intimacy coordinator says: ‘What do you feel comfortable with, what do you want as a director, what can you do based on that vision?’ They facilitate that and do it very subtly without interrupting the actual scene.

Harris noted that a scene in which he was virtually naked and danced in a hotel room to a George Michael song without any prior rehearsal proved “embarrassing” to film.

“That was just me moving. Halina started the song and said, “Dance.” So I just had a little groove. Maybe I’ve already had a little whiskey. But it was embarrassing.”

He also praised Nicole as “the most reassuring, warm artist to work opposite.”

“She sets the tone on set, and she makes it so easy to be vulnerable and funny because she’s so daring. She’s so brave and she does things, and you’re like, “What the fuck is that?” You can’t even think about it.’

It comes after Nicole admitted she was so excited while shooting the movie that at one point she had to pause filming.

In the film, Nicole plays a powerful, married corporate boss who falls in love with a kinky young intern.

And according to The sunIn a revealing new interview, Nicole said performing the scenes with Harrison and Antonio Banderas, 64, as her husband, Jacob, was often too much to handle.

Nicole started by saying, “There was a tremendous amount of sharing, trust and then frustration. It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me.’

‘There were times when we were filming and I thought, “I don’t want to have an orgasm anymore.”

‘Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I never get touched again in my life! I’m over it. For me it was so present all the time that it almost seemed like a burnout.’

She also said she found filming her raunchy scenes with Harris “liberating.”

She explained that she felt completely safe performing the intimate sequences because female director Halina made sure neither actor was pushed out of their comfort zone, according to People.

During a recent Q&A, Kidman said, “There’s kind of a leap off the cliff where you go, okay, I’m just going to leave everything behind and explore this with the people I trust in a genre that’s already established.”

“But hopefully we can explore new territory and especially with the female at the helm.”

She added: “You have your director at the helm saying, ‘I will protect you. Nothing that will be in the film will be anything that you are not comfortable with. You will be fine.’

The Eyes Wide Shut actress emphasized that she also had “tremendous trust” in her young co-star for these scenes. She added, “We looked at each other and said, ‘Okay.’

Although Dickinson admitted that he was sometimes “really terrified” of filming intimate scenes with Kidman, the actor insisted that Reijn never forced them to continue filming if they felt uncomfortable.

He said: ‘Of course there were days where I was really terrified of a scene, or I don’t know how to do it.’

“There was never a day where if the scene wasn’t working, if we didn’t feel comfortable or didn’t get something, we never felt like time was more important.”

“It was like, ‘Okay, everyone get away for a while.’
