Nicole Kidman’s niece Lucia Hawley shares poignant tribute to her late father and confirms she has moved across the road from her childhood home

Lucia Hawley paid a moving tribute to her late father while confirming she has moved across the street from her childhood home.

The 26-year-old daughter of former TV presenter Antonia Kidman and niece of Nicole Kidman, shared a series of heartwarming family photos and snippets from her latest Instagram on Wednesday. Sub-stack article.

Lucia’s father Angus Hawley, who was married to Antonia until 2007, died of a heart attack in New York in 2015 at the age of 46.

Tragically, just seven months earlier, the Kidman family also lost their father, Dr. Antony Kidman, to a suspected heart attack.

Alongside a series of photos showing a young Lucia with her brothers James and Hamish, parents and grandfather, she shared that she has just moved into a new house directly across the street from her childhood home.

“When I saw the address of this house on paper, it immediately struck me that it was close to my old family home,” Lucia wrote.

‘But it wasn’t until we started moving that I realised it was across the street from my parents’ house. Right across the street.’

Lucia then described the nostalgic feelings that came over her when she moved in. She shared heartwarming memories of the house, such as the birth of her brother James and the birth of her very first cat, Pavlov.

“A lot has happened since then,” she continued.

‘My parents separated. We moved to Singapore. Pavlov, the cat, died (after 16 loving years).

‘He did, however, outlive my father, who died six years before him (something I’ve often thought about; my father would turn in his grave if he knew our family cat lived longer than him).

“We grew up and moved on with our lives.”

Lucia then went on to say that she walks past her childhood home every night, which she said gives her a feeling of “homesickness.”

“When I saw the address of this house on paper, I noticed that it was close to my old family home,” Lucia wrote. “But it wasn’t until we started moving that I realized it was across the street from my parents’ house. Right across the street.”

“In the same way that watching an old family movie evokes a sense of nostalgia, my old house evoked an intense longing in me,” she wrote.

‘A longing for the life when my father and father were still alive, my grandmother was healthy and I was not yet the child of a divorced woman. In many ways the calm before the storm.’

Lucia concluded her sweet message by saying that she had visited a psychic to reconnect with her deceased father.

“I recently had an appointment with a psychic,” she continued.

‘Normally I’m not the type to deal with these kinds of things, but something happened inside me: I wanted to have contact with my father, a sign that he was doing well.’

Lucia then described the nostalgic feelings that flooded her when she moved in. She shared heartwarming memories of the family in the house, such as the birth of her brother James and the birth of her very first cat, Pavlov.

‘Maybe this was my sign. Maybe he’s looking back at me through the shutters.’

Her post was met with an outpouring of congratulations from her followers, including her uncle Phillip Hawley.

“Oh Luch.. so beautifully written,” he wrote.

“You are amazing, just like your dad, and we all miss him so much.. I really loved Pavlov too! See you soon, pretty girl.”
