Nicole Kidman’s adopted daughter Bella posts rare social media photo as she attends Glastonbury festival – after being estranged from actress for years
Bella Kidman Cruise, the adopted daughter of Nicole Kidman, posted a rare image on social media on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old artist posted a photo of herself and her three friends at the 2024 Glastonbury festival.
In the photo, the friends look into the distance as they wrap their arms around each other and sit on a hill at the event.
Bella, who was adopted by Nicole and her then-husband Tom Cruise in 1992, captioned the photo: “The best.”
Bella and her brother Connor (born in 1995) have had a tense relationship with the To Die For actress for years.
Nicole and Tom divorced in 2001 after 11 years of marriage and were given joint custody of the children.
However, the adopted children reportedly remained ‘loyal to their father’ and decided to live with him, meaning they grew up in the controversial church of Scientology.
Nicole has not been photographed in public with her two eldest children since 2007. She was reportedly “devastated” when the couple did not attend her father’s funeral in 2014.

It was also reported that she was keen for Connor and Bella to attend last year’s American Film Institute (AFI) ceremony, where she received America’s highest award for a career in film.
Although Connor, who is “extremely loyal to his father” Tom, didn’t publicly support Nicole for her achievement, daughter Bella liked one of her mother’s Instagram posts about the award.
Despite reports of a rift between Nicole and her eldest children – something Connor and Bella deny – the actress has previously spoken of her “unconditional” love for Connor and Bella, in light of their “choice to become Scientologists”.

The A-list couple adopted Connor and Isabella in the early 1990s after Nicole suffered an ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage, and were told she might have trouble conceiving.
Earlier in an interview with Tatler, she spoke candidly about her fertility issues with Tom and how she longed for children.
“The loss of miscarriage is not talked about enough. It’s a huge heartbreak for some women,” she said.
In the interview, she did not discuss her relationship with her adopted children. However, Nicole did talk about the maternal instinct, regardless of whether one’s children are biological or adopted.
She said, “Whether you’re an adoptive mother, a foster mother or a birth mother, it’s the emotion of bonding with a child and helping to guide and raise them. [that is important].

Isabella, better known as Bella, and Connor are the only children Tom and Nicole have together.
Connor was adopted by Nicole and the action film star shortly after his birth in 1995, but the exact timeline remains unclear.
Sister Isabella was adopted by the couple three years earlier, in 1992.
The Hollywood couple, who married in 1990, divorced in 2001.

The Top Gun: Maverick actor also has a daughter, Suri Cruise, 17, with his ex-wife Katie Holmes.
Meanwhile, the Moulin Rouge actress has daughters, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, 15, and Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, 13, with her husband Keith Urban.
Tom and Connor are occasionally spotted together at sporting events.
Nicole has said in the past that she prefers to keep her relationship with her children private.
