She was spotted for the first time since announcing the devastating news when she attended the Balenciaga show in the French capital on Monday.
Nicole looked effortlessly chic in a black high-neck bodycon dress, sheer tights and stilettos for the fashion show.
She was seen waving to the audience as she made a heart shape with her hands inside, sheltered from the rain by an umbrella.

Nicole announced her mother’s death just hours before she was named Best Actress for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.
The actress and her sister Antonia shared a heartbreaking tribute to their late mother on Instagram, posting several never-before-seen photos of the matriarch.
In her post, Nicole thanked her millions of fans and supporters for expressing their condolences during their time of mourning.
“My sister and I, along with our family, would like to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Nicole wrote in the joint statement.
“Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we can ever express.
“Thank you from our entire family for respecting our privacy while we care for each other.”
The Australian actress was forced to leave the Venice Film Festival to return to her native Sydney to be with her family following the devastating news.
Her mother Janelle died just hours before Nicole was named Best Actress for her role in Babygirl on the final day of the Venice Film Festival.

She was seen waving to the audience as she made a heart shape with her hands as she headed inside, sheltered from the rain by an umbrella.
“Today I arrived in Venice to find out shortly after that my beautiful, brave mother Janelle Ann Kidman has just passed away,” Nicole revealed in a statement read by director Halina Reijn after her win.
‘I am in shock and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her, she shaped me, she guided me and she made me.
“I am beyond grateful to be able to say her name to all of you through Halina, the collision of life and art is heartbreaking, and my heart is broken. We love you all.”
In an interview with the Fresh Air podcast in January 2022, Nicole spoke briefly about her mother’s health struggles after temporarily returning to Sydney to support her.
Her comments came as she told how she took Janelle after hours to the Art Gallery of New South Wales where they saw the Matisse: Life & Spirit exhibition, which she described as a “calming balm” amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

In her post, the Perfect Couple star thanked her millions of fans and supporters for offering their condolences during their time of grieving.
“My sister and I, along with our family, would like to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Nicole wrote in the joint statement
“We are here mainly to take care of my mother and have her surrounded by her grandchildren,” she said.
‘Fortunately yesterday, even though Omicron is racing through this country, we were able to take her to the gallery after closing time and show her the Matisse exhibition, from a mother who raised me in art, it was a soothing balm. Matisse had soothing balm last night.’
Nicole has long had an incredibly close relationship with her beloved mother Janelle and often spoke about her support and influence on her career over the years.
