Nicole Kidman has shared a bittersweet tribute to her late boyfriend Jimmy Buffett following the American singer-songwriter’s death at age 76.
Buffett, who turned his hit “Margaritaville” into a billion-dollar business empire, passed away on Sept. 1 surrounded by loved ones.
Nicole, 56, posted on Instagram Stories on Sunday a throwback photo of Jimmy playing guitar with husband Keith Urban, 55, at a tropical bar.
She also added a second image of herself and Jimmy sitting at a table in the same room.
‘Memory of the good times (white heart emoji, hibiscus emoji). You will be missed xx,” the Hawaiian-born Australian actress wrote.

The footage is believed to have been taken during Keith’s impromptu performance with Jimmy after the Australian couple encountered the musician on the Caribbean island of St Barts.
Speak with Countdown to American country in 2020, Keith recalled, “Jimmy Buffett was (in St. Barts), and I ended up sitting with him for a few songs (laughing), just like you.”
“There was a little club he went to – it’s a bit of a long story – but he and his wife had their boat there, and they had just been on the island for a few days, and somehow we came across them in return for.’ because we were just visiting,” he continued.

And he said, “Hey, we’re going to see this band play.” Do you want to come with us?’ So we went with them and then they called Jimmy to play a song. So he got up and did a few songs, and the next minute he got me up to do a few songs. It was cool.’
Jimmy’s death was confirmed through a statement posted on his official website and social media pages.
“Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1, surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs,” the statement said.

Buffett passed away four years ago after being diagnosed with skin cancer, a source told TMZ.
He entered hospice on Monday and was visited at his home by Paul McCartney a week ago as the former Beatle sang for Buffett and his family.
