Qantas denies claims Nicole Kidman got in a row with staff for a bizarre reason – as airline insist she has always been ‘lovely’

Qantas has denied claims that Nicole Kidman got into an altercation with staff on a recent flight from Australia.

It was claimed the Hollywood actress, 57, got into a fight in the Qantas first class lounge at Sydney International Airport because she wasn’t allowed to bring her own fruit on the flight.

However, Qantas has now firmly denied the claims, with a spokesperson telling Daily Mail Australia that Nicole has always been ‘nice’ to the airline’s staff.

Gossip newsletter Popb*tch claimed that observers saw Nicole getting annoyed because she wasn’t allowed to bring her own fruit on the flight.

Fruit is generally allowed on international flights as long as it complies with the customs regulations of the destination country.

However, in Australia, fresh fruit is generally prohibited on flights due to strict biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of pests and diseases.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Nicole’s representatives for comment.

It comes after Nicole caused a stir with a now-viral interaction she had with a reporter at the Babygirl premiere.

Her response was branded ‘rude’ as she left fans divided over the way she spoke to the Pop Crave reporter.

During the question-and-answer session, Nicole asked the reporter to repeat the name of their outlet before shrugging, smiling and looking away from the camera, suggesting the name didn’t ring a bell.

While some fans found her response refreshingly unbothered and praised her “offline queen” energy, others were less impressed and called it dismissive.

One follower admitted, “I would be so embarrassed if I was Pop Crave and Nicole Kidman laughed at me like that,” while another bluntly stated, “She’s rude.”

Another chimed in: ‘A bit bitchy of Nicole but oh well,’ while someone else added: ‘Sorry but this is terrible behaviour.’

Despite the backlash, some fans found the moment wonderfully fitting for the star, as they praised her as a “legend.”

One amused fan joked: ‘HAHAHAHAA omfg she’s a legend,’ while another said: ‘She’s so Queenie!’

Nicole is currently busy promoting her latest rom-com Babygirl, which will be released on Christmas Day.

She recently revealed details about the intense sex scenes she filmed with her on-screen love interest Harris Dickinson, 28.

She told Woman’s Day how she and Harris prepared for the “delicate and intimate and very deep” moments.

About their work with an intimacy coordinator, she said: ‘There was still a flow to it, which allowed room to move, change and work.

“It wasn’t limited, and I like working that way.”

She also recently revealed to The Sun that she had to take a break during filming due to the intense nature of filming the intimate scenes.

“There was a tremendous amount of sharing, trust and then frustration. It’s like, ”Don’t touch me,” she shared.

“There were times when we were filming and I thought, ‘I don’t want to have an orgasm anymore.’ Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I’m never touched again in my life! I’m over it.”
