Nicole Kidman reveals the last four words her late mother Janelle said to her before she died

Nicole Kidman has revealed the last words her late mother Janelle said to her before her death in September.

The Australian actress, 57, opened up about her mother when she appeared on CBS Sunday Morning in the US this weekend.

She said Janelle told her to “take care of yourself.”

“The last words my mom said to me were that I was getting on a plane, and she said, ‘Maybe wait a minute, because you just have to take care of yourself, Nicky,'” Nicole said.

The Hollywood actress said she has since taken her mother’s advice to heart.

‘I do that more often, and I also say that to other people in the world. Especially women. I think we have a tendency not to take care of ourselves. We take care of everyone else, but the last person is here,” she said.

The Babygirl star added that her mother Janelle wasn’t the only woman in Nicole’s family with sage advice.

“My grandmother left me saying, ‘Be happy,’ and my mother said, ‘Take care of yourself.’

It comes after reports that Nicole and Keith are considering a return to their native Australia after a very difficult year.

Following the death of her beloved mother in September, returning to Sydney for the funeral, Nicole had a busy schedule flying across America to promote her latest films and film yet another project.

The star’s loved ones are said to be concerned about Nicole suffering from ‘burnout’ and Nicole and Keith are now reportedly considering returning to Australia.

“Nicole and Keith have had their worst year ever, they’ve hardly spent any time together and she’s been alone at her most worrying times,” a source told Woman’s Day.

“Everyone’s big concern is: how much more can she tolerate?”

Country singer Keith, 57, is said to be considering taking a step back from touring to support Nicole after his 10-day Las Vegas residency comes to an end in February.

Ny Breaking Australia has contacted Nicole’s representatives for comment.

“The last words my mom said to me were that I was getting on the plane, and she said, ‘Maybe wait a minute, because you just gotta take care of yourself, Nicky,’” Nicole said.

Nicole recently united in grief with her family – including her younger sister Antonia – in Sydney as they all attended her mother Janelle’s funeral.

Janelle died in September at the age of 84, just hours before Nicole won the best actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.

Nicole was supported at her funeral by Keith and their two daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Nicole and Keith own a sprawling 20-room mansion in Nashville that cost them $4.89 million, as well as a $6.77 million home in Beverly Hills and a $13.53 million designer duplex in Chelsea, New York.

They also still own properties Down Under, including a $6.5 million farm in the Southern Highlands and two penthouses in Sydney’s Milson’s Point, which they rent out.
