Nicole Kidman forced to stop mid-interview after ‘awful’ moment at The Perfect Couple premiere: ‘This is unhinged!’
Nicole Kidman had to cut short an interview at the premiere of her latest film after she was attacked by swarms of flying insects on the red carpet.
The 57-year-old Australian actress appeared at the premiere of Netflix’s The Perfect Couple at The Egyptian Theatre on Wednesday.
But the event was overrun by insects that emerged in the Los Angeles heat and were attracted to the stage lights.
While chatting with E! News on the red carpet, the reporter saw a mosquito fly right into Kidman’s blonde hair. He stopped the interview and attempted to remove the bug for her.
“This is horrible,” the star said. “What is going on here?!”
Kidman wasn’t the only star to fall victim to the swarm. Her co-stars Liev Schreiber and Meghann Fahy were also spotted killing flies during the interview.
“I think I just got bitten,” Schreiber said before punching him in the neck.
“This is crazy! … We have to get out of LA,” Fahy told another reporter.

Kidman looked radiant in a plunging black dress at the Hollywood premiere.
The Oscar winner easily surpassed her 57 years as she posed with co-stars nearly half her age, including 34-year-old Meghann Fahy, who plays Merritt Monaco on the series, and Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson, 33.
Nicole showed off her slim, statuesque 6-foot-1 figure in a custom-made Ferragamo halter dress, which was so sheer it showed off her panties, and Paris Texas shoes, selected by stylist Jason Bolden.

Kidman served as executive producer and plays famed novelist Greer Garrison Winbury in Jenna Lamia’s six-episode mystery drama, premiering this Thursday on Netflix.

Kidman had likely known the 56-year-old Tony winner since 2005, when he began his 11-year relationship with her best friend Naomi Watts, which ended amicably in 2016.
