Nicole Eggert opens up about getting breast implants at 18 while starring on Baywatch: ‘I look at all these younger girls doing it and think, ‘God, leave your bodies alone!’
Nicole Eggert opens up about her regrets about getting breast implants when she was just 18 during the first season of Baywatch.
The 52-year-old actress has been acting since she was 8, starring as Jamie Powell in Charles in Charge and Who’s the Boss before playing Summer Quinn in Baywatch.
When she realized she had to wear a one-piece swimsuit all day, which she said was “unflattering,” she decided to get breast implants during a filming break.
On the first day of filming in 1992, she realized, “Oh my God, are we going to wear a bathing suit all day every day?”
The actress admitted that she thought she was auditioning for a spin-off TV series about kids at a Malibu high school.

“All the girls were training and were super small and fit and I was like, ‘Oops.’ And the one-piece swimsuits were not flattering. “I didn’t want to wear it at all,” she said.
“It just wasn’t what I signed up for. It was a completely different show and ball game and not where I wanted to be,” she said, eventually leaving Baywatch after two seasons.
While she grew up swimming on the Southern California beaches where they filmed, and was one of the strongest swimmers in the cast, she still felt insecure about her body, adding that it forced her to undergo breast implant surgery.
‘Of course I regret it now. I look at all these younger girls doing it and think, ‘God, leave your bodies alone!’ Eggert said.
Although she admitted, “But when you have to put on that swimsuit and it’s like, you’re so flat it looks like pleats – you’ve got pleats in the front… you’re like, ‘What is this?’ You can’t do anything. You can’t fill it with anything. There’s nothing you can do.’
“It was a stupid 18-year-old decision,” Eggert added, and although she would undergo multiple breast enlargement surgeries afterward, she appeared on E!’s Botched in 2015 to have her breasts reduced.
In 2016, original Baywatch producers Michael Berk and Douglas Schwartz claimed Eggert felt “competitive” with star Pamela Anderson.
They also claimed that she “called in sick” for a few days after a holiday weekend and came back with a boob job, but Eggert disputes that.

When asked about Pamela, Eggert said, “I always knew Pamela was more beautiful and natural. I kind of wondered why she always put on so much makeup. But it was her thing and the look she was going for.”

“Those guys, they really like to make things up. It was during the break of the show, and they knew (about the operation),” Eggert said.

“It was the image she wanted to portray, so it worked for her. And I always feel like, whatever makes you feel good, whatever makes you feel good, do it. And for her, it meant wearing a lot of makeup. For me it was like: makeup on the beach? “Oh, this is disgusting.” Do you understand what I mean?’ Eggert said.
