Nicolas Cage’s son Weston Cage’s divorce from wife Hila Cage Coppola has been finalized … following his arrest earlier this month over alleged assault on his mother

Nicolas Cage’s son Weston Cage’s divorce from wife Hila Cage Coppola has been finalized. The couple had been together since their wedding in April 2018 until their split in September 2021.

The judge hearing the case approved the divorce, with Hila retaining sole legal and physical custody of the former couple’s four-year-old twin daughters, Cyress and Venice, TMZ reported after reviewing court documents in the case.

According to the news agency, Weston “has no visitation rights pending a new court order” and Hila has sole authority to determine where the children go to school and whether they can get passports.

According to the outlet, the court has ruled that Hila cannot leave the US with the children for more than two months.

The latest charges come weeks after Weston, 33, was arrested in connection with allegations he assaulted his mother Christina Fulton, 57, during an April 28 incident.

Hila was awarded alimony payments totaling $991 per month by Weston through the end of this month. According to the outlet, she is “thereafter waiving her right to receive any more money” from her ex-husband after that period.

According to the outlet, the court has ordered that Hila return the properties that Weston had after the divorce.

The collection includes a pair of pendants on a chain, one in the shape of a dragon and the other in the shape of a pan; three framed photographs of his music group; crystal skull sculptures; a keyboard and a document from the Civil War era.

Weston filed papers in the case on June 7 objecting to his father, Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage, testifying in the divorce, a report from Radar last month.

The requested declaration focused on funds sent to Weston by a trust that the Leaving Las Vegas star had sent. A lawyer for Hila said the Hollywood veteran knew the trust was subsidizing the “lawsuit from the beginning to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

A lawyer for Weston said the Face/Off star was “not a party to this case” and that his testimony “would not be relevant to any issue in this matter.”

Attorneys for the Raising Arizona actor called the request to have him testify “unduly burdensome, intimidating, oppressive, vague and irrelevant,” Radar reported after reviewing legal documents.

They further argued that Nicolas’ bank records were “neither relevant to the subject matter of the litigation nor reasonably intended to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence.”

Weston has been married and divorced three times. He was previously married to Nikki Williams and then to Danielle Cage, with whom he has two sons.

It’s been a turbulent time for Weston. Earlier this month, he was arrested in connection with assault with a deadly weapon in the April incident involving Fulton. He was ordered to post $150,000 bail before being released.

Fulton released a public statement on July 11 detailing what happened during the April incident involving her son, who had already left the scene before officers arrived.

“On April 28, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., I received urgent messages from friends of my son, Weston Cage, regarding his deteriorating mental state, urging me to come and help,” Fulton said. “When I arrived to offer support and comfort, he was already in the midst of a manic rage. Within minutes, I was brutally attacked and seriously injured.”

Fulton, who was found with multiple injuries after the incident, said police “denied” her request to evaluate Weston for mental health and ignored her “urgent need for … medical attention.”

“As a mother, I am deeply saddened and concerned about Weston’s ongoing mental health crisis. It is imperative that he receives the help he so desperately needs,” Fulton said.
