Nicolas Cage’s son accuses ‘various materialistic people’ of trying to exploit him

Nicolas Cage’s son has accused “several materialistic people” of exploiting him and his family’s fame and fortune.

Weston Cage Coppola, 32, who had his Face/Off actor father, 59, with actress Christina Fulton, 55, made the accusation as he opened up about his life, sobriety and an acrimonious lawsuit over spousal support and child support with the mother of his twins daughters.

He said on his Instagram in a lengthy post titled “Justice For Weston Starts Now,” which featured an image of him with his famous father: “Several materialistic people and those who are insidiously inspired by my fame and the fame of my family have relentlessly tried to destroy me.’

Weston – whose great-uncle is Oscar-winning Apocalypse Now director Francis Ford Coppola, 84, added: “People who meet us have a false fantasy that my father, uncles and I will fulfill their dreams of making people famous or that we have money that grows on trees to hand out.’

He also revealed in his own statement that his famous father Nicolas gives him $7,300 a month.

“When their fantasies are suppressed, they hold us hostage with smear campaigns that certain journalists are the ‘first to cover the drama,'” he added.

Weston did not specifically name his ex-wife Hila Coppola Cage in the post.

He married real estate agent Hila in 2018.

Weston was also married to Danielle Cage (2013–2016) and Nikki Williams (2011–2012).

This comes after Hila filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court seeking additional spousal and child support.

She also wants $30,000 in legal fees to hire a top attorney to help on the case.

The former couple’s legal clash began earlier this year when Hila filed a claim demanding $4,634 in monthly support to help raise her and musician Weston’s two-year-old twins Venice and Cyress.

In previous lawsuits, she alleged that her ex-partner maintains a “lavish lifestyle” and is rich in cash from $16,666 monthly trust fund payments, along with money he receives from acting gigs.

He has insisted in his own statement that he receives only $7,300 a month from his famous five-time married father — who has two other children by two of his wives, including his current partner Riko Shibata.

And he claimed that about $1,500 of that will go to the mother of his two sons.

He also stated that he “voluntarily” paid Hila $2,000 a month.

Weston also used his Instagram post to compare himself to 60-year-old Johnny Depp.

The Pirates of The Caribbean recently won its defamation claim against ex-wife Amber Heard, 37.

Weston said, “This is why Johnny Depp had to prove his innocence in the unconstitutional state of California.

“It’s all guilty until proven guilty.”

He also claimed that his mental health and sobriety are in a “perfect” place.

And said he plans to set his life straight in a documentary that will expose people he says entered his life with an “agenda.”

Weston said, “I will have a documentary and biopic that will contain evidence of who I am, my talents, and all the wrongdoings and wrongdoers of my life by shining a light on the truth and no longer on the myth.”
