Lisa Marie Presley’s third husband, Nicolas Cage, paid tribute to the star following her tragic death at age 54 on Thursday.

Cage, 59, who married Presley in 2002 before separating just three months later, said he was “heartbroken” by the loss in a statement but believed he was now reunited with his son Benjamin Keough, who committed suicide. at age 27 in 2020.

Cage said: ‘This is devastating news. Lisa had the biggest laugh of anyone she’s ever met.

Presley passed away Thursday after going into cardiac arrest at his Calabasas home.

She was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and was said to be in a coma following “complete cardiac arrest” shortly after she complained of stomach pains, according to TMZ.

Her mother, Priscilla, who was at her daughter’s side, said in a statement: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”

“She was the most passionate, strong, loving woman I have ever met. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thanks for the love and prayers. There will be no further comments at this time.

Lisa Marie’s death comes just two days after she was photographed with her mother at the Golden Globes at the Beverly Hills Hilton, where Austin Butler won Best Actor for his portrayal of her father in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis.

Sources told TMZ that the housekeeper found Lisa Marie unconscious in her bedroom and that her ex-husband, Danny Keough, who she has been living with, performed CPR until paramedics arrived at the home.

The source added that “someone administered epinephrine,” more commonly known as adrenaline, at the scene at least once to help Lisa Marie regain her pulse.

According to the Mayo Clinic, stomach pain is a symptom of cardiac arrest in women.

Epinephrine, or adrenaline, is given to treat many life-threatening conditions, such as cardiac arrest, asthma attacks, and allergic reactions.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told Dailymail.com: ‘Deputies at the Lost Hills station responded to a request for assistance to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, near the 9500 block of Normandy Drive. in Calabasas, regarding an adult female, approximately age 55, due to a medical emergency/non-breathing female. .

The official would not confirm if the person was Lisa Marie, who will turn 55 next month, what hospital the person was transported to or what was administered.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that the fire department responded and was able to take the woman’s pulse before she was transported to the West Hills hospital.
