Jo Elvin, CEO of Children with Cancer UK, said: ‘Our annual Gala is not only a fantastic evening of entertainment, but is also an important opportunity for us to shine a light on the impact research is having in the fight against childhood cancer . and a reminder that continued fundraising is critical to ensuring that one day every child will survive a cancer diagnosis.
‘Despite survival rates improving, there are still around 4,200 new cases of cancer in children and young people in Britain each year.
‘Every pound raised from this year’s Gala will have an immediate impact on children and their families by helping to fund life-saving scientific research into childhood cancer and providing vital ongoing support to young cancer patients and their loved ones.’
