Nicola Peltz Beckham gushes over mother-in-law Victoria’s incredible wardrobe as she reveals the story behind their shared leather jacket
Nicola Peltz Beckham said her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham’s closet is “like heaven” as she gave an insight into their relationship on Saturday.
The actress, 29, tied the knot with the fashion mogul’s son, Brooklyn, 25, in a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach, FloridaApril 2022.
Nicola described the former Spice Girl’s closet as incredible and it’s no surprise she wants access to her enviable clothing and accessories collection.
She said PEOPLE: ‘Every time I step into that closet I think, ‘Please!’ It’s like heaven in there.’
In February, Nicola stepped out at Paris Fashion Week with husband Brooklyn in a Dolce & Gabbana leather jacket that looked like it came straight from Victoria’s closet.

The vintage 2001 garment was worn by Victoria in the early 1990s as she stood on the sidelines at a soccer match with a baby Brooklyn.
But Nicola revealed she didn’t receive the jacket from Victoria as her mother Claudia Peltz actually bought one and gifted it to her.
She explains, “When I first started dating Brooklyn, I sent my mom that picture of Victoria and I thought Brooklyn looked so cute. And I thought, look how cute Brooklyn looks. Also look how nice this jacket is! Years later, as a surprise to me, my mom got it on 1stDibs.”
Nicola said her mother bought the jacket from a buyer who had an archive of 90s and early 2000s fashion and they are now trying to find out if the jacket ever belonged to Victoria.
Laughing, she continued, “Victoria sold hers for charity [years ago], so it’s this mystery. Brooklyn said, “Is that the jacket?!” And everyone else was like, ‘IS THAT THE JACKET?!'” But we don’t know! But all of Brooklyn was wearing a red shirt when I wore the jacket in Paris [like in the original photo of Victoria wearing the jacket] was not planned. We laughed our heads off when we realized it.’
It comes after Nicola said marrying Brooklyn is a ‘never-ending sleepover’.
The actress and the aspiring chef celebrated their second wedding anniversary last week and Nicola revealed she is loving life as a married woman.
She said PEOPLE: ‘It feels like you’re at a sleepover or a play date and it’s like you’re always thinking, “Oh, can they sleep over again?” And you’re just on an endless sleepover playdate. That’s how we feel.

But Nicola revealed that she did not receive the jacket from Victoria as she had given it to charity years ago, and that her mother Claudia Peltz had actually bought one and donated it to her.
‘He really is my best friend. That’s how I feel.’
When asked how she will celebrate their wedding anniversary, Nicola replied: ‘[Brooklyn] told me he would surprise me… What the surprise is… maybe it’s another dog who knows! My love language is dogs. God no, we already have five.’
The loved-up couple got married in April 2022 in Palm Beach, Florida, and Nicola has shared some of her favorite memories from their wedding day.
The actress said, “I would say two come to mind. Firstly, my Nani was my bridesmaid, so she danced.
“I remember getting really nervous talking in front of people or in front of a crowd… But just before I walked down the aisle with my dad, I heard everyone clapping and cheering. It was because my Nani had her flowers and she was dancing down the aisle.”
Nicola also recalled sharing some quiet moments with her husband on their wedding day.
She said: ‘I think someone gave us advice, which I think is the best advice for anyone getting married soon, is to grab your partner and even if it’s for two minutes… all night long and just saying ‘oh my God’.
“Just have a moment with them, because I know sometimes at weddings there’s so much going on, so many people. Brooklyn and I have eloped a few times and I feel like those are the special moments.”
