The former Mrs Bulley Grammar School has paid tribute to the mother of two, who moved to Lancashire from Essex with her parents and sister in the late 1990s.

A spokesperson for William de Ferrers School in South Woodham, Essex, said: “It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of former William de Ferrers pupil Nicola Bulley.

‘Our thoughts and condolences go out to Nicola’s family and friends, many of whom are within our own community of South Woodham Ferrers.

“We would like to respect the privacy of families at this very difficult time.”

Lancashire Police called a press conference on Monday where the force confirmed the woman in the Wyre was Nikki.
