Nicky Hilton sports braids as she bundles up during snow storm in Aspen ahead of the New Year

Nicky Hilton braved a winter snowfall in Aspen, Colorado while shopping at Kemo Sabe in the tony ski town.

The mother of three looked like a ski bunny with her long blonde hair in two braids under a black hat.

She wore a black turtleneck and black trousers with a brown Max Mara jacket which she unbuttoned as she browsed the Western Wear store.

Nicky carried a small caramel brown Miu Miu handbag that was big enough for the essentials.

The socialite, 41, spent time in Aspen over the winter holidays along with other celebrities including Mariah Carey, Kevin Costner and several reality TV stars from the Housewives franchise.

Nicky is splitting her time between Aspen and Los Angeles this month.

She spent Christmas with her sister Paris Hilton, 43, and her husband Carter Reum and their two children Phoenix, one, and London, five months.

Nicky also celebrated with her husband James Rothschild and their three children, Lily-Grace, eight, Theodora, seven, and Chasen, two.

Nicky recently shared the secret to their 10-year marriage and how they are successfully raising their children.

Nicky said at her My Theresa launch party this autumn: ‘My husband and I travel a lot because of our work, but we don’t leave the children alone.

“So we try to space out our work trips and make sure we’re always there.”

She praised her own parents Kathy and Richard Hilton for showing her a “great example” of a strong union.

“I feel like some of the advice my mom always gave me is that, too [to] never stop having fun, never go to bed angry and just stop to smell the roses and enjoy every moment.”

At Christmas, the blonde beauty shared a selection of photos on Instagram with the caption “Christmas in California.”

Earlier in December, Nicky was back in Aspen, where she competed in the World Snow Polo Championship.

While there, she met the Aspen St. Regis mascot, Kitty the Bernese Mountain Dog, and hung out.

Both Nicky and Kitty had big smiles on their faces as they posed for photos, which Nicky shared on her Instagram.

Nicky’s holiday dressing was made easier this year by her new collection of party dresses that she designed for Australian designer Rebecca Vallance.

Speaking exclusively to Ny Breaking Australia in November, the American socialite revealed which of her red carpet looks she considers the most iconic.

She said her biggest hit this year came when she attended the Cannes Film Festival in a shimmering ice blue Rebecca Vallance dress.

Speaking at an event in Sydney celebrating her new holiday capsule with Vallance, Nicky shared the little-known inspiration behind the custom-made dress.

She said she wanted to channel one Disney princess in particular.

“Rebecca and I designed an ice blue dress together, with the bows in the middle, and it was very inspired by Cinderella,” Nicky told Ny Breaking Australia.
