Nick runs a four-star restaurant in Sydney… but a comment has triggered outrage with diners bombarding his business page
A restaurant’s social media site has come under siege after its owner described Jews as a “death cult” and shared an image depicting an Israeli soldier as a blood-soaked pig.
Nick Stone, who runs the upmarket restaurant Bistro St Jacques in Redfern, in Sydney’s west, posted the messages on his Instagram page on October 7, the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.
Mr. Stone posted a photo of a pig, dripping with blood, dressed in the uniform of the Israeli army, next to a Star of David. The Australian reported.
“Remembering today, October 7, the day we all learned about the Jews who moved to Israel and the absolute death cult they showed us for what they are,” the caption reads.
It ends with: “Glory to the Resistance.”
Another message, addressed to the Australian Jewish Association and showing a distressed child in Gaza, reads: “On October 7… May your children endure the same hardships.”
Daily Mail Australia contacted Mr Stone for comment and asked if he regretted his posts.
According to his business website, he runs a “French neighborhood bistro” with “warm hospitality” that “brings our locals back again and again”; the location currently has a 4.4 star rating on Google.

But the heat wasn’t transferred to him on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
A message asking ‘What could be better than sitting outside with a good glass of Pinot, enjoying the view and chatting to Nick, the owner of Bistro St Jacques?’ provoked some mocking comments.
“No thanks, not with an owner who is so anti-Semitic and full of hate that is in the food he cooks,” said one commenter.
Another wrote: ‘Shameful comments from the anti-Semitic, terrorist supporting owner.’
“I wonder how much for a side of anti-Semitism?” said another.
Comments on the Facebook post were deleted mid-morning.
Mr Steen told it The Australian he had “no comment to comment on a personal Instagram post” about the IDF on October 7.
“My comment there was about the actions of the IDF – actions that have been condemned by many reputable international bodies,” he said.
“It wasn’t about Jewish people being welcome in my restaurant, like people of other faiths and no faith.”

The head of the Australian Jewish Association, Robert Gregory, condemned Mr Stone’s posts, saying some of the images and words were “outright Nazi-style hatred”.
“There is nothing to be proud of on October 7, the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, in which women were raped and children were murdered,” he said.
‘There is no place for such ugly anti-Semitism in Australia and certainly not in Redfern, which is seen as a tolerant area.
“Jews and anyone who is against racism will probably want to avoid this restaurant.”
