Nick Kyrgios is seen breaking a racket in anger in a new trailer for Netflix’s new behind-the-scenes tennis series Break Point.

The streaming giant released a Drive To Survive-style sneak peek of the documentary on Friday.

The controversial tennis pro’s time competing at the 2022 Australian Open is heavily documented in the series.

The streaming giant released the trailer for the Drive To Survive-style documentary on Friday.

In the new trailer, 27-year-old Kyrgios laments feelings of ‘pressure’ to be the best in the business.

“The expectation of me being the next big thing is huge,” he says.

The camera shows a disappointed Kyrgios as he sits in a dressing room with his head in his hands, before an explosive moment on court at the Australian Open.

Kyrgios smashes his racket on the ground, an incident not uncommon for the ill-tempered sports star.

Other scenes show him getting cozy with his incredibly supportive girlfriend, Costeen Hatzi, before I see him chest-pounding his doubles partner and best friend, Thanasi Kokkinakis.

The first episode will chart the incredible run of Kyrgios and Kokkinakis to the Australian Open doubles title.

At the end of the trailer, Kyrgios rubs his hands and claps excitedly for the production of the highly anticipated Netflix doco.

“A little Netflix series and shit,” he says. ‘Let’s go for it, baby!’

Buoyed by the success of their fly-on-the-wall series, Formula One, the same production team has followed 15 of tennis’s brightest stars across the ATP and WTA tours over the past season.

Other scenes show him getting cozy with his incredibly supportive girlfriend, Costteen Hatzi.

The couple is seen sharing a sweet kiss outside the court.

The first five episodes, focusing on Melbourne Park, Indian Wells, Madrid and Roland Garros, will be available starting January 13. The other five installments of the season, looking at Wimbledon, Eastbourne, Queens Club, the US Open, the WTA Finals and the ATP Finals. – Arrives in June.

Kyrgios’ bitter rival Stefanos Tsitsipas also appears in the series along with several big names including Women’s World No.1 Iga Swiatek, Men’s No.3 Casper Ruud and Felix Auger-Aliassime, along with Women’s No.2 Ons Jabeur.

The series will also include interviews with tennis legends such as Martina Navratilova, Maria Sharapova and Chris Evert.

Surprisingly, neither Rafael Nadal nor Novak Djokovic appear on the new show, with the streaming giant aiming to chart a ‘changing of the guard’ in tennis.
