Nick Kyrgios reignites his war of words with Australian tennis bad boy Bernard Tomic, then takes a nap at the World Tennis League match after Novak Djokovic withdrew from their matchup.
The feud between tennis bad boys Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic has reignited after a question was raised by a fan on Twitter about the allocation of wild card places ahead of next month’s Australian Open.
On Thursday, Tennis Australia confirmed that youngsters Alexei Popyrin, Jason Kubler and Rinky Hijikata will not have to qualify for the men’s singles draw.
When a Twitter user suggested that Tomic, 30, deserved a wild card at Melbourne Park, Kyrgios replied: ‘Hahahahaha NO HE DOESN’T.’
Fallen star Tomic, ranked 462 in the world, has yet to publicly respond.
However, given the couple’s colorful history, including the suggestion that they settled their differences in a boxing ring, as well as a $1 million winner-take-all tennis match, it’s likely that the answer is not far away.
Wimbledon finalist Kyrgios, 27, is currently in Dubai competing in the World Tennis League exhibition tournament.

His highly anticipated showdown with Novak Djokovic did not come after the Serbian superstar withdrew due to illness at the last minute.
Many fans were unhappy, with the price of tickets excessive in the eyes of many.
Kyrgios still entertained the crowd, pretending to have a court nap on a stage.
“I’m a big fan of the team environment, I think it’s great,” Kyrgios said when asked about the World Tennis League format.
“It’s a good experience for the fans and the players, the team aspect gives tennis a bit of a different dynamic.”
This was the year that Kyrgios finally delivered on his potential.
In addition to his impressive exploits at the All England Club, he also won the Australian Open doubles title with good partner Thanasi Kokkinakis and reached the quarterfinals at the US Open.
Kyrgios will return to Australia after Christmas to play in the inaugural United Cup, starting on December 29.
Matches will be hosted in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney.
