Nick Cannon’s ex-girlfriend Jessica White claims they were in an “emotionally abusive” relationship

Nick Cannon’s ex-girlfriend Jessica White speaks out about the rapper and TV presenter.

White, 39, claimed she was in an ’emotionally abusive’ relationship during her time with Cannon, 42, according to Page six.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Cannon representatives for comment.

“I went through an emotionally abusive relationship, and everyone’s going through it,” the model told the publication just days before Cannon — who shares 12 kids with six different women — celebrated a marathon Father’s Day holiday.

“I’m just the first person in Hollywood to talk about it, not try to make a pretty picture of it. I don’t want to be perfect,” she added.

White opened up about her relationship on Friday when she walked the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival for rapper French Montana’s documentary For Khadija.

She made it clear that a rekindled relationship was no longer in the cards.

“I’m never going back and those are the facts,” she said defiantly. “I have so much fun without him, and I’m better without him, and I don’t need all that energy and all that crap. I’m ready.’

While she has no interest in being baby mama number seven to Cannon, she added that she was still interested in having a baby with the “right man” when the time comes.

“I’m going to try, but this time with the right man,” she said. “I put myself out there. Part of my healing process is not sitting back and waiting for it to heal completely… no one ever really is. I can’t wait to make love and have a baby soon. Oh yes, I’m all for it.’

The Victoria’s Secret model also showed disinterest in discussing her famous ex further.

“I’m so tired of talking about Nick – I’m done. Please post that… I’m so tired of talking about Nick Cannon,” she emphasized.

“I really want to get past this because I don’t want the next guy to come in and think he’s competing with that energy because he’s not,” she continued. ‘I’m over it. I just want to go out into the world and make sure people see me and ask me questions outside of him on this point.”

While White kept her comments about Cannon limited, she seemingly spoke out about him in an Instagram post where she didn’t mention him by name.

“I wanted it to work, prayed every day that you would see me and love me the way I loved you.” Maybe you did, but just kept it from me during the relationship,” she wrote in the since-deleted post. “I walked away with more questions than anything. I don’t really know to this day why the current things had to happen.”

Speaking Out: White also appears to be criticizing Cannon in recent Instagram posts that omit his name. She claimed they were together for eight years, instead of the reported five years

The Ending: White claimed in 2021 that her relationship with Cannon ended after he and Brittany Bell announced her second pregnancy with him just two weeks after White suffered a miscarriage; seen in May 2022 in Atlanta

While speaking to Page Six, White joked, “I probably regret that.” [because] I should have saved it for the damn book and got paid for it.”

She then confirmed that a book was in the works and that Cannon would be mentioned in it, if only briefly.

“I’m writing a book,” she said, pointing out that the chapter on Cannon would be very short… I think if you put it in a book, it would be half a chapter.

“Half a chapter is still too long,” she added caustically.

A post after last weekend’s interview also seemed to reference Cannon. In it, she claimed that the two were together for eight years, although they would only date from 2015 to 2020.

“You could never be me and be so graceful. Do you know how much I don’t say and still stay cute!? Yes, I absolutely wasted 8 years on garbage and was insanely loyal to a human being who would never be the same in life,” she wrote in a lengthy text post.

“I have been in therapy for the last 2 years, am healing and will never stop healing, self esteem was once in the broken place and I am still recovering but definitely better than I was. I am extremely sweet, kind and gentle and don’t want to be bitter so I remain hopeful.

“Healing doesn’t mean you go into a box and stop wanting love and that’s what I expressed in this last blogged post,” she continued. “I’m excited about everything because I know where I’m coming from. I approach it differently than most people, but I know who I am. I love my journey and have no intention of ever hiding from my truth. I hope your instagram therapist, shaman and everyone who has it together can do the same.

White suffered a miscarriage in 2020 while still in a relationship with Cannon.

In a Hollywood unlocked interview the following year, White expressed how hurt she was that her then-boyfriend and another of his many partners, Brittany Bell, announced she was pregnant with her second child with him just two weeks after miscarrying.

To make matters worse, the model found out about the pregnancy on Instagram instead of hearing it from Cannon.

“She knew I had just had a miscarriage two weeks before her news came out because he told me he told her. And I lived at his house, she knew that too,’ she explained. “But I found out on Instagram along with the rest of the world.”

She added that she and Cannon were “about to start in vitro” when she learned of Bell’s pregnancy.

“So when I came out, people thought I was this homebody,” she continued. “No, there was a real life going on. I was bullied for months with that whole situation.

She added, “I’ve still tried to be nice about it. We didn’t break up right away, we tried to work it out.”
