Nick Cannon and Nicole Murphy are ‘praying’ for Jamie Foxx after mystery ‘medical complication’

YFOY founder-CEO Nicole Murphy is ‘praying’ for Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, who is still hospitalized in Georgia after a mysterious ‘medical complication’ on April 11.

“We love Jamie,” said Eddie Murphy’s 55-year-old ex-wife – who has known the 55-year-old Texan for decades – People on Sunday.

“You know, he’s so talented and he’s an iconic person. He’s just great. He is like a brother to me and I adore him. I really pray that everything works out for the best for him.’

Also praying for Jamie is Nick Cannon, host of The Masked Singer, who has literally shared Bible passages Instagram in honor of ‘my big brother’.

“I know he’s doing so much better because I’m about to do something special for him and please him,” the 42-year-old father of 12 shared. ET during the weekend.

‘I can’t really say what [the favor] is, but it will be there soon. I was hesitant to go all the way and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it’s a beautiful thing. He’s awake. They say he’s alert, so we love it. That’s family there.’

Last Friday, People spoke to a source who confirmed that Foxx (born Eric Bishop) was “awake and alert” in a “Georgian medical facility,” but “doctors are running tests and keeping him under observation.”

When the Day Shift producer star fell ill, he was technically not on the set of his Netflix comedy Back in Action in Atlanta.

Jamie only had eight days left to shoot for director Seth Gordon’s project, but producers decided to wrap up production last week with his stunt double Travis Parker and stand-in Julz West – according to TMZ.

Cameron Diaz famously came out of retirement to make her acting comeback in Back in Action – which also stars Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson.

Foxx – a lifelong bachelor – is father to daughter Anelise Bishop with former publicist Kristin Grannis.

The Grammy winner has shared some videos of the not-so-typical 14-year-old impressively playing bass guitar at family jam sessions.

Jamie is also father to daughter Corinne Foxx with Air Force veteran Connie Kline.

Foxx’s next executive will produce and host Beat Shazam alongside the 29-year-old DJ, and the sixth season will premiere May 23 on Fox.

The owner of the Brown Sugar Bourbon will also voice a Boston Terrier named Bug in Josh Greenbaum’s dog comedy Strays – which hits US and UK theaters June 9 – alongside Will Ferrell, Will Forte, Isla Fisher, Randall Park, Josh Gad and Sofia Vergara.

Meanwhile, Jamie’s long-delayed directorial debut All-Star Weekend, which he shot in 2019 with Jeremy Piven, Eva Longoria and DJ Khaled, has yet to see the light of day.
