Nanny star Nicholle Tom shocked viewers on Monday after unveiling her stunning new gig on Seven's The Morning Show.

The American actress, 45, spoke to presenters Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies about her time on the show and shocked them with her much more mature appearance.

Viewers of The Nanny will remember that Nicholle played the awkward teenage heiress Maggie Sheffield, known for her blonde bob cut and conservative, chic clothes.

Nicholle has since swapped the hairstyle for fiery red, shoulder-length locks that frame her face.

She completed the look with a light layer of makeup that accentuated her striking facial features.

She also traded in the modest outfits Maggie wore for a sleek, unbuttoned leather jacket that she paired with a plunging blouse.

Nicholle revealed that she was only a teenager when she was first cast in The Nanny and said she grew up with the character.

“I was fifteen at the time and it was such a growing experience, so young,” she began.

'I started working on the film Beethoven when I was thirteen and got The Nanny from it. It was an interesting childhood.'

Tom co-starred with Fran Drescher in The Nanny from 1993 to 1999.

The hosts then asked her if there was any truth to the rumors that the entire cast of The Nanny would be reuniting for a reunion movie.

“That would be wonderful and wonderful. “I think it should be done, it would make a great movie,” she said.

Nicholle began her Hollywood career in 1992 after being cast in the family film Beethoven and she went on to appear in several high-profile productions, including The Princess Diaries, Gotham and Beverly Hills, 90210.
