The heartbroken family of an Australian college student who died mysteriously in Bali are no closer to learning what happened to her after an autopsy failed to reveal a cause of death.

Niamh Finneran Loader, 25, flew to the tourist hotspot on November 26 for a vacation and simple dental work, but was found dead in the bathroom of the famous Kuta-Bali hotel on December 2.

His sudden death after the minor dental procedure has left his family devastated and the authorities baffled.

An autopsy was carried out at Bali’s Sanglah Hospital earlier this week, but Denpasar Police Chief Bambang Yugo Pamungkas said it was inconclusive.

“We received the autopsy report and interviewed the medical examiner last week,” he said Monday.

“But he was unable to determine the cause of death based on the results of the toxicology and pathology tests.”

Kuta Police Chief Yogie Pramagita earlier said his officers had searched the room where Ms Loader had stayed and questioned at least seven people, including hotel staff, the dentist and a tattoo artist.

Engineers found her lifeless body when they entered her room to fix the air conditioning.

His father, Malcolm Loader, previously told the Western Australia her daughter was ‘very happy’ with the results of the ‘minor’ dental procedure she received.

“Police are currently investigating…we have no idea (what caused his death) at this time,” Loader said.
