It comes after Simon Cowell, 65, was photographed for the first time this afternoon in the backseat of a car in Blackpool, where he was holding auditions for Britain’s Got Talent before canceling at the last minute after learning of Payne’s death.

Horan, who saw Payne at a concert in Argentina just days before he died, looked devastated today as he walked through London with his girlfriend Amelia Woolley.

Horan looked glum as he and Amelia took their dog for a walk in the park.

It comes as Payne’s family described feeling ‘heartbroken’ by his tragic and untimely death, adding that the former One Direction star will ‘live on in our hearts forever’.

Payne’s relatives said in an emotional statement: ‘We are heartbroken. Liam will live on in our hearts forever and we will remember him for his kind, funny and courageous soul.

‘We support each other as a family as best we can and ask for privacy and space during this terrible time.’

Payne’s uncle Roger Harris also told MailOnline: ‘We are all deeply saddened and trying to come to terms with it. I just hope everyone actually gives them some privacy and allows them to come to terms with it. That’s all I can say.’

Payne had arrived in South America with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy on September 30 and spent two weeks in Argentina after planning to spend only “five days” there.

Two days later, Payne posted several videos to social media, including one in which he jokingly called his girlfriend a “loser” for going home. Hours later, police were called to the hotel after reports of an “aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

On a tape recording of the hotel manager’s 911 call to police, he could be heard saying, “I’m calling from the Casa Sur hotel in Palermo, we have a guest who is over the top with drugs and ruining the whole place.” room.

The call then breaks off and on a second call the manager adds: ‘If he’s conscious, he’s breaking up the room.

“We need you to send someone, please.”
