An NFL woman has revealed that the tough reasons for being a WAG aren’t all they’re cracked up to be — including the pressure of making “D1 babies” and being branded a “gold digger.”

Carly Teller, the wife of Cleveland Browns guard Wyatt Teller, opened up about what it’s like to be married to a professional athlete in a self-recorded video posted to TikTok last month.

She first explains that people are boldly assuming that she got married for the wrong reasons, but at least now she has more free time to do what she wants.

“I’m an NFL wife, of course I’m a gold digger,” Teller said sarcastically, later adding, “Of course all I do is do my shopping and drink my coffee.”

She also brought up the numerous times she was asked to get multiple tickets to a game.

“I’m an NFL wife, of course I can get tickets for you and all your cousins,” Teller joked, before addressing autograph requests she can’t easily fulfill.

“I’m an NFL wife, of course you can have anything you want signed for you, whenever you want. Actually, I can just get the whole team to sign things for you,” she joked sarcastically.

Teller then mentioned the instability that comes with being linked to a professional athlete, as trades and cuts are constantly happening before, during and after a season.

“I’m an NFL wife, of course my life is so easy, even though my husband can be circumcised any day of the year,” she said.

Teller also worries about possible injuries on the field, saying, “Of course I’m never stressed, even though my husband doing his job could get hurt every Sunday.”

“I’m an NFL wife, of course I’m prescribed Xanax,” Teller said. She also brought up players’ demanding schedules, which means they don’t have much time for social interaction with others outside of football during the season.

“I’m an NFL wife, of course my family can come to any event you invite us to during football season,” Teller said.

Finally, she recalled how often she heard presumptuous comments about her current and future children with her husband.

“I’m an NFL woman. Of course I’m going to make D1 babies,” said Teller, who shares a one-year-old boy named Brooks with her husband.

The Tellers hit it off when Wyatt played college football at Virginia Tech, but both Wyatt and Carly went their separate ways and didn’t officially start dating until a year later, when he was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2018. NFL draft.
