NFL super agent Drew Rosenhaus has been sued by animal rights group PETA after he recently posted a video of him swimming with a shark.

Rosenhaus shared a video earlier this week of himself swimming with and holding a shark caught on a fishing line.

He received a mixed reaction to the stunt, with animal rights organization PETA leading the criticism.

“Spending so much time with elite athletes must make Drew Rosenhaus feel like he has something to prove,” PETA said in a statement via TMZ.

“Aquatic animals already suffer at the hands of fishermen who impale them, rip them out of the water and entrail them or choke them, so they don’t need some wannabe macho man pulling their tails for a few Twitter likes.”

After his first post, titled “Went fishing with @cheetah today and decided to get a closer look at this dusky shark,” he also posted a second in the water with the shark.

While many of the reactions to his post were initially positive, the 56-year-old cop also received fan reactions after the video was reposted on other accounts.

“I swear this is why women live longer than men,” one Twitter user replied to the collected post.

Twitter users had a mixed reaction to Rosenhaus’ video, disputing the claims of “struggling.”

Another who opposed Rosenhaus’s actions wrote, “Leave the shark alone. He was just minding his own business.’

Some describe Rosenhaus’ seemingly light-hearted moment as “abusive.”

While there were many who seemingly enjoyed the video, other viewers also disputed the idea that he wrestled the shark in the first place.

Regardless of whether they reacted positively or negatively, many other social media users pointed out that the free-swimming shark appeared to be hooked on a leash and disputed Rosenhaus’s claims that he was “struggling” with it.
