The wife of Miami Dolphins star Raheem Mostert has criticized The View’s Sunny Hostin for labeling white women who voted for Donald Trump as “uneducated.”
Hostin, an American journalist and lawyer who co-hosted the popular talk show for eight years, was left devastated after Trump’s resounding election victory over Kamala Harris earlier this week.
In Thursday’s edition of the program, she expressed confusion over the large number of white women who voted for the 78-year-old, who has faced heavy criticism for his role in overturning laws protecting abortion rights in 2022.
“I want to dig further into the demographics because black women tried to save this country again last night – 92 percent of black women voted for the vice president,” Hostin said. “You have Latinas in the 70th percentile voting for the vice president.
“What we didn’t have is white women, who voted for Donald Trump about 52 percent — uneducated white women, I understand.
NFL star Raheem Mostert’s wife Devon (second from left) blasted The View’s Sunny Hostin
“So why do you think uneducated white women voted against their reproductive health freedoms?”
After hearing her comment, Devon Mostert — who has three children with NFL running back Raheem — took to social media to attack Hostin and accuse her of racism.
“Uneducated white woman here,” the Dolphins WAG wrote alongside a clip of Hostin’s comments on her Instagram Story.
“Sunny, I guarantee I can teach you about a certain political topic on any given day.”
She then added in another post, “Can you imagine if the roles were reversed here? What if a white woman said this? There would be outrage. Racism comes in all kinds of ways. And ALL WAYS are disgusting and unacceptable.”
Devon has frequently expressed her political views on the platform in recent months, taking aim at Democratic candidate Harris for her recent criticism of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the wake of Hurricane Milton.
She also added a pro-Trump message to her story praising him for housing 275 Florida workers for free at his Doral Miami resort amid the hurricane.
Hostin was also challenged over her claim that “uneducated” white women voted for Trump by The View colleague Alyssa Farah Griffin.
Hostin claimed that white women who voted for Donald Trump in the election are “uneducated.”
Devon Mostert took offense to her comments in an impassioned response on Instagram this week
The Dolphins WAG subsequently accused Hostin of racism following her comments about white women
“I don’t think white women like being called uneducated white women,” Griffin said.
“If you guys are in these boxes, I think that’s a takeaway from this race.”
After being re-elected president on Wednesday morning, Trump made history the next day by appointing Susie Wiles as America’s first-ever female chief of staff.
Wiles was tapped to join his new administration and will be the first woman to serve as chief of staff after leading his successful campaign.
The 67-year-old’s recruitment is also notable for her connection to the sports world, as her late father Pat Summerall was a well-known NFL broadcaster and former player.
The kicker, who played for the Lions, Cardinals and Giants, went on to call 16 Super Bowls on TV and form a long-running on-air partnership with John Madden.
