NFL star Trevor Lawrence breaks his silence to give health update after huge hit left him motionless on the field

Trevor Lawrence assured fans he is recovering well at home after taking a brutal blow to the head during the Jaguars’ loss to the Texans on Sunday afternoon.

The Jacksonville QB was on the end of a huge tackle from Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, which left him motionless on the field and sparked a bench-clearing brawl.

Al-Shaair was ejected from the match and Lawrence was carted off the pitch, with the latter now giving fans a long-awaited health update.

On X, Lawrence said, “Thank you to everyone who reached out to me/prayed for me. I’m home and feeling better. It means a lot, thank you all.”

In the incident, Lawrence ran down for the first time and slid to give himself up to the game. Al-Shaair didn’t stop and delivered a vicious blow to the quarterback’s upper body and helmet.

As soon as the goal was scored, tight end Evan Engram began pushing Al-Shaair, while several others from both teams were involved in the scrum seconds later.

Lawrence remained lying down and was immediately helped by medics before he was eventually taken away. He was sitting upright and alert when he was returned to the locker room for further assessment.

The talented QB, 25, was ruled out of the game shortly afterward due to a concussion, and Mac Jones replaced him under center.

Jacksonville’s Jarrian Jones was also ejected from the game, while Engram was assessed a 15-yard penalty for being the first to engage Al-Shaair in combat.

A few hours after the game, eagle-eyed NFL fans spotted a political message on Al-Shaair’s shoes, sparking more controversy after the goal.

The Tampa-born NFL star, 27, had “Free” written on the outside of his shoes in red and green Palestine colors, with messages written on the side.

One cleat read: “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will all return,” while the other read: “At least 41,788 Palestinians killed.” It is estimated that more than 10,000 people are buried under the rubble. 96,794 injured.”

Another urged the NFL to suspend him, but others defended him, writing, “Religion of Peace.”

Even more fans brought up Nick Bosa’s recent fine for wearing a Donald Trump MAGA hat and speculated about what punishment Al-Shaair will receive for his own political message.
