Atlanta Falcons safety Jessie Bates III may make a Taylor Swift-esque statement this weekend when he faces Travis Kelce and the Chiefs.
Kelce has been in a relationship with Swift since last year.
And Bates revealed on the ‘The Pacman Jones Show’ with former defenseman Adam “Pacman” Jones that he might bring up the pop star when he defends Kelce during Sunday night’s game between Atlanta and Kansas City.
‘I don’t listen to Taylor Swift that much, but you have to respect what she’s done in her career. And then with Travis [Kelce]“You have to have some kind of respect for him,” he said.
“But once that clock is ticking and we’re between those lines. Sometimes I see red and I might say crazy things to him, it might be Taylor, it might not be. It’s just part of the game, talking your little nonsense.”

The Chiefs entered the regular season undefeated, beating the Ravens and the Bengals, but it didn’t have much to do with Kelce.
The tight end has just four catches for 39 yards through two games, with Rashee Rice (178 yards) leading the team in receiving so far.
After the Chiefs’ last win, in which Kelce caught just one pass for five yards, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith criticized the 34-year-old.
‘I love my brother from another mother, Travis Kelce. [But] we saw more Taylor Swift than we saw yesterday on a Sunday afternoon, or at any other time for that matter. That shouldn’t have happened yesterday, he said on ESPN’s First Take.
“We should have seen more Travis Kelce yesterday than we saw her. That’s not happening. You’ve got to get it going, bro. You’ve got 39 receiving yards in the first two games.
“Come on, it’s time. Football season is here. The honeymoon is over. Let’s get our affairs in order.”
Kelce will look to get back on track as the Chiefs hope for a 3-0 start against Atlanta.
