Thousands of fans wished Taylor Swift a happy birthday on Friday and among them, surprisingly, was the NFL.
The pop sensation, who famously dated Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, celebrated her 35th birthday on Friday, December 13.
The date is often hailed as a holiday by her exceptionally loyal fanbase, but after a season and a half of bringing her star power to NFL stadiums across the United States, the singer has seemingly earned another fan in the form of the league.
The NFL’s official TikTok account posted a tribute video to the singer to commemorate her 35th trip around the sun.
The adorable montage featured multiple clips of the “Fortnight” singer cheering on her NFL boyfriend at Chiefs games, including some of her most iconic moments like the on-court hug with Kelce during the AFC Championship game in January.
But the heartwarming montage also strayed from the football pitch and featured moments from her Eras Tour, including Kelce’s iconic on-stage appearance at one of her Wembley performances earlier this year and their romantic backstage reunion in Argentina in November 2023.

“karma is the @Chiefs guy saying happy birthday to me,” the caption read, referencing Swift’s lyric change to her hit “Karma” in honor of Kelce, also 35.
Interestingly enough, however, the NFL’s social media team didn’t pay tribute to one of Swift’s many hit records, instead opting to play Toby Gad and Celina Sharma’s cover of John Legend’s “All of Me.”
Fans went crazy over the birthday message in the comments section, with many claiming that the NFL has become an honorary “Swiftie.”
“I never thought the NFL tick tock would make me cry. And yet here we are,” one TikTok user wrote.
“Not the NFL actually posting a fan edit, but I’m here for it,” another replied to the video, adding a laughing emoji.
“oh NFL social media manager…I’m really into you,” one Swifties added, while a fourth chimed in, writing, “The NFL account is the biggest Swiftie and I love it.”
“Imagine explaining the NFL posting a Taylor Swift birthday shoutout to yourself in January 2023, what a time to be alive,” one person joked.
“Tell me who the NFL’s favorite person is without telling me,” one posted, as another claimed: “Dare I say this is the best post the NFL has ever made.”
Fans went wild over the birthday message. with many claiming the NFL has become a “Swiftie.”
Swift spent the day before her birthday spreading good cheer at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
The hitmaker looked delighted as she posed with children being treated at Children’s Mercy Hospital before joining staff for a group photo on Thursday.
Her boyfriend Kelce was also at the hospital, but the pair were not pictured together.
The visit suggested Swift would be in Kansas City for her birthday, but it’s unclear how the couple planned to celebrate the occasion.
