NFL prospect Michael Jefferson ‘is now suspected of being under the influence in crash’ as police say their initial post-fatal report was ‘WRONG’

Former Louisiana wide receiver Michael Jefferson suffered multiple fractures in one of his legs in a fatal car accident last month The lawyer.
And while it was initially believed the NFL hopeful was hit by a disabled driver, police now believe it was actually Jefferson who was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, according to a new report.
That’s what the police in Alabama said TMZ that they confused Jefferson and the driver he hit and killed on April 9, Charles Dunn.
While it was initially alleged that Jefferson’s Chevrolet Impala was hit by Dunn’s Dodge Charger, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency now says it was actually Jefferson driving the Charger and Dunn driving the Impala.
In addition, a diagram from the crash report shows the NFL prospect was driving in the wrong direction before fatally striking 55-year-old Dunn.

He was ranked the 311th best draft prospect and the 42nd best wideout in the draft class
Jefferson’s attorney told TMZ he had “absolutely no reason to believe that Michael Jefferson is under criminal investigation or has ever been investigated.”
But Dunn’s family told the website in a statement that “Charles Dunn has never drunk or smoked in his life and we would like his name cleared.”
Jefferson was ranked the No. 41 wide-out in the upcoming draft by ESPN before being drafted again.
The 6-foot-4 Jefferson led the Ragin’ Cajuns with 51 catches for 810 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022. Louisiana went 6-7 and earned a bowl berth against Houston in the Independence Bowl.
He caught 69 passes for 1,291 yards and 11 touchdowns in two Louisiana seasons.
Jefferson’s agent previously told ESPN that Jefferson required multiple surgeries after the crash.
