‘I should have stayed in New York!’: Social media mocks Mayor Eric Adams after he claimed the Giants are ‘going to the Super Bowl’ in a Philly video… only to be WAY behind in the first one half of the competition playoff or die
New York Mayor Eric Adams may soon be hitting the delete button on his latest social media post, after his NFL Giants prediction went wrong.
Adams was in Philadelphia on Saturday night to watch the Giants’ do-or-die playoff game against the Eagles, and he seemed very confident going into kickoff.
Speaking from field level at Lincoln Financial Field, the New York mayor said: ‘This is the one, this is the big one. I’m here with our team. We’re going to win this, and when we do, we’re going straight to the Super Bowl.
‘Go Giants, Big Blue in the house.’
New York Mayor Eric Adams was confident that the Giants would beat the Eagles in Philadelphia.
Things went south, very quickly, with Philadelphia recording four touchdowns in the first half.

Unfortunately for Adams, and the Giants’ fan base, his prediction was far from correct, with New York giving up FOUR touchdowns in the first half to go up 28-0 at halftime.
Social media also pounced on Adams, with one user writing: “I should have stayed in New York lol.”
Another added: ‘Quick L’, while one noted: ‘Big time jinx’.
There were some concerns among Philadelphia fans about Jalen Hurts’ injury, but he threw three touchdowns and rushed in another to put the Eagles in cruise control.
Although they’re not out yet, it would take a second-half miracle for the Giants to come back and book their spot in the NFC Championship Game.
