NFL legend Michael Irvin reveals his wife of 34 years Sandy, 58, has early on-set Alzheimer’s

Dallas Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin has revealed that his wife of 34 years is in the early stages of a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Sandy Irvin, 58, has been battling the disease for five or six years and is having trouble walking, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Tuesday.

Despite her limited mobility, Irvin refuses to place her in a nursing home.

“If anyone has earned the right to stay in her home, MY WIFE has!!!” Michael told the Star-Telegram. ‘I will honor that. No matter what.’
