NFL legend jokes that Olivia Culpo ‘killed’ him after posting hilarious photo from her wedding with Christian McCaffrey
Greg Olsen joked that Olivia Culpo “killed” him when she posted a candid photo of him partying at her wedding to Christian McCaffrey last month.
The NFL legend turned Fox Sports commentator looked a little less than stellar in a photo the former Miss Universe posted from her big day in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.
Olsen had his shirt open and buttoned, and his curly locks looked unkempt.
I spoke to Christian [and] “I said, ‘Thank you Olivia for letting me get killed on Twitter,’” he said this week during an appearance on the “SI Media” podcast with Jimmy Traina.
“He was like, ‘Dude, we never thought this would happen; we just thought it was a cool picture.’ And I was like, ‘I’m kidding. I don’t care about that kind of stuff,'” he continued.

He denied being drunk when the photo was taken, despite looking a little worse for wear
“It was fun. We had a lot of laughs about it.”
Olsen subsequently denied the claim that he had had more than 10 drinks when the photo was taken, saying he doesn’t drink much at all.
“I didn’t have twelve drinks all night,” the analyst said.
“They caught me making a bad facial expression,” he explained.
“They caught me like I was in the middle of something. If I could have just sat in the picture and had a normal smile, it might not have been such a fun picture to talk about.”
The former tight end continued: ‘I think the internet is hysterical. You see the memes. People are being funny and listen, if you take yourself too seriously and you can’t just laugh and say “yeah, I had a great time… at a really good friend’s wedding”, then that’s your fault.’
McCaffrey and Culpo were married in a dreamy seaside chapel in Rhode Island
He also explained that his shirt was open because he was letting loose on the dance floor.
“I’m not a person who behaves nicely, that’s just not my thing,” he said.
We got through the formal aspect of the evening [and] my tie and button were off. I probably looked different than everyone else because I was probably sweatier than everyone else at that point. I love weddings.
“I hadn’t seen that many of those guys in a long time… You’re with your friends and guys that I’ve played with, and some of my best friends in my life that live all over the country.”
The supermodel and San Francisco 49ers star welcomed family and friends to an oceanfront home, aptly named Ocean House, in her home state on June 29.
Featured guests included comedian Shane Gillis and several NFL players, including Kyle Juszczyk and his fashion designer wife Kristin.
The newlyweds started dating in 2019 and McCaffrey popped the question during a vacation in 2023.
