JJ Watt retired from football last year but can still deliver a vicious tackle, as evidenced by the goal he landed on Jamie Carragher on Friday ahead of Burnley vs. Manchester City.
Watt and his wife, Kealia, a former American women’s footballer, invested in Burnley last May ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.
And the pair were on Friday at Turf Moor, where NFL legend Watt Carragher playfully tackled as he unsuccessfully threw a ball at Sky Sports colleague Gary Neville.
Ahead of Burnley’s opening opener, Watt touched the pitch at Turf Moor for Friday night’s game against Pep Guardiola’s three-time winners.

JJ and Kealia Watt announced their investment in Burnley in May after the club was promoted
On their investment in the club, the couple said: ‘When you invest in a club that has been around since 1882 you have to have a lot of respect for its history and tradition.
‘We understand that we are not only investing in the team and the manager, we are also investing in the city and its people. We take that responsibility very seriously and intend to work hard to earn their trust and support.
The Watts clearly waste no time doing just that.
JJ retired from football last year and has been throwing himself into football ever since. In May, he embarked on a pub crawl in Burney as the club celebrated its promotion.
