Three-time Super Bowl champion Jerry Rice was caught yelling at two reporters at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, threatening violence against the two.
Rice, 61, was attending a practice round of the American Century Championship with several high-profile athletes, including Jason and Travis Kelce, Blake Griffin and Aaron Rodgers, when two Kansas City reporters asked him Friday about the Chiefs’ wide receiver options in 2024.
The reporters claimed they just wanted to know if Patrick Mahomes’ wideouts were “good enough to win another Super Bowl” this year.
Rice initially distanced himself from the duo after briefly speaking with them, but viral footage released by TMZ Social media shows the former 49ers star rushing back at the men seconds later and punching them right in the face.
At one point, Rice, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, can be heard yelling at one of the boys, “I’m going to f–k you!”

He then advised both reporters, “If you want something, come and get it!” before withdrawing from the argument.
Stunned, the two journalists told other attendees at the charity tournament that what had happened was “the craziest thing that had ever happened in my life.”
But according to TMZRice was convinced that both reporters were out to get him with their questions during the golf outing.
The former two-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year told the outlet that he saw the questions as a dig at his former Niners team and insisted the men smirked at him, knowing full well how Rice, who played 16 seasons in San Francisco, would react.
Additionally, the 49ers narrowly lost to the Chiefs (25-22) in Super Bowl LVIII in February.

“I’m going to defend the San Francisco 49ers,” he said. “This is my history.”
Rice finished tied for 22nd place at the American Century Championship on Friday, tied with Lakers star Austin Reaves.
In April, Rice’s son Brenden, who like his father plays wide receiver, was drafted by the LA Chargers with the 225th pick in the 7th round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Rice’s eldest son, Jerry Rice Jr., also had a brief stint in the NFL in 2014, when he signed with the Washington Commanders. However, the wide receiver suffered a torn labrum in training camp that year and was released in May 2015.
