Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Josh Sweat suffered a neck injury but has movement in all extremities after injuring himself trying to make a scary tackle on Sunday against New Orleans.
The Eagles said Sweat was taken to the hospital “for precautionary reasons.” Sweat did hit the ground with his hands before he was carried off the field on a stretcher in the first quarter.
The 25-year-old went down after trying to tackle Saints running back Adam Prentice midway through the first quarter.

His concerned teammates watched as he was treated on the field before heading to the hospital.
The entire Eagles team came to the sideline and met Sweat on the field as he was put on the stretcher.
The fans chanted his name as he finally left the field after a lengthy hiatus for medical attention.
Sweat has 11 sacks and had one sack in five straight games before going down with an injury late in the first quarter.
The Eagles ultimately lost 20-10 against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles entered 13-2 and needed a win to clinch the NFC East and the NFC’s top seed.
But they ended up losing 20-10 against the Saints.
They also played without quarterback Jalen Hurts for the second week in a row due to a sprained right shoulder.
