The NFL is facing a massive overhaul of coaches in the coming months, with insider Adam Schefter predicting that “seven to 10” could lose their jobs.

Frank Reich became the second head coach to be fired this season when he was relieved of his duties by the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers are officially the worst team in the NFL and will finish with a losing record for the sixth straight season.

It came just four weeks after Josh McDaniels was fired by the Las Vegas Raiders, leaving his position alongside general manager David Ziegler.

But more coaches are on the chopping block, it is said, as we enter the time of the season where teams make the playoffs or see their entire season crumble.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Schefter made a bold prediction that the number of fired coaches could reach double digits in the coming months.

He said, ‘I believe so, seven against ten.

“The timeline for these cases has accelerated. I told you last week on this show that hunting season starts right after Thanksgiving.

“And sure enough, right after Thanksgiving and Monday, Frank Reich is gone. I think the timelines for these coaching moves have become more vague than ever before.

“Owners don’t care if they do it in September, October, November or December.

“We used to be past Thanksgiving, now we’re entering hunting season. The teams that are underperforming, underachieving and not winning games, their coaches, are in danger.

“Seven to ten this year and I’ll take over.”

There is immense pressure on Bill Belichick to turn things around in New England after yet another disappointing season.

The Patriots lost at the Giants on Sunday and are now 2-9 with a disastrous quarterback situation and a dismal offense.

Brandon Staley is also on the hot seat in Los Angeles with his Chargers team bottom of the AFC West at 4-7 and unlikely to make the playoffs.

Another coach under scrutiny is Ron Rivera. His Washington Commanders team is 4-8.

Rivera is in his fourth season there and has yet to finish with a winning record, making the playoffs just once.

Matt Eberflus, Mike Vrabel, Todd Bowles and Brian Daboll are also in the spotlight.
