Dalvin Cook offered his ex-girlfriend $1 million to drop her domestic violence claims, according to a new legal filing in a pending lawsuit filed in Minnesota in 2021, amid the New York Jets’ reported interest in the free agent.

The 27-year-old running back made two settlement offers of $800,000 and then $1 million to his accuser, Gracelyn Trimble — a former U.S. Army sergeant — in hopes she would refrain from testifying against him, according to a recent filing from the plaintiff’s attorney.

Cook, who was released by the Vikings in the spring, also asked his former partner to deny the abuse allegation with an affidavit and that she send league officials a letter clearing his name of any wrongdoing in exchange for the six-figure cash offer.

Tremble alleges that Cook abused her, brain-damaged her, and held her hostage at his suburban Minneapolis home in November 2020.

She claims she flew to Minnesota’s capital to break up with the football player and collect her belongings.

Trimble also claims she was physically and mentally abused by the NFL star on multiple occasions

Instead, Cook grabbed her arm and threw her entire body across the couch, smashing her face against the coffee table and cracking open her lower head and the bridge of her nose,” according to legal documents recently filed in Dakota-County District Court, first obtained by The Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Timber also claims that Cook followed her upstairs when she went to clean up the blood, throwing and pinning her to the ground before punching and strangling her.

He then reportedly grabbed his shotgun and yelled death threats while holding her at gunpoint, according to the filing.

What’s more, Timber claims Cook hit her with a broomstick, threw her against a wall, and kicked her in the hips and ribs as she lay on the floor before she ran out of his house looking for help. He later got her back into the house and confiscated her phone and the returns.

The police were not on site at the time of the incident.

Trimble also recorded several online exchanges with Cook in a sealed file from her attorney

A private message from Cook on Instagram attached to the filing reads: “I know what I did can be rewinded… if you want to go to the police I respect that I will face my punishment for what I did!”

Cook, who is seeking $10 million as a free agent this offseason, was prosecuted for fraud and defamation.

It was not until May last year that a police report was filed, after the couple had split up ‘for good’ The New York Post.

Cook was involved in all 17 of the Vikings’ NFL games last season, rushing for 1,173 yards. His agent, Zac Hiller, flirted with the Jets in a recent podcast interview, saying the franchise has “something great” to offer following the trade for Aaron Rodgers.

But for Cook to come to New York, he would have to lower his salary demands. The Jets have Michael Carter and Breece Hall as their only two running backs for this upcoming season.
