NFL free agent Chandler Jones expanded his tattoo collection this week when he got “Messiah” inked on his forehead.
The 33-year-old, who was released by the Las Vegas Raiders in September after a series of disturbing incidents, showed on Wednesday that the word was forever written on his head.
The former Arizona Cardinals defensive end shared a video to his Instagram Story of the tattoo artist placing the needle on his head and calmly leaning back.
Jones also bragged that he barely felt the pain when he got the artist to tell his followers that he hadn't applied numbing cream.
As he left the salon, Jones filmed himself telling fans he heard his later mother, Camille's, voice urging him to stop getting tattoos as he chuckled and added, “Sorry mom.”

In the post preceding the clip of Jones getting inked, he shared the definition of the word “Messiah.”
He took a screenshot of the Google result for the word and highlighted the part that read: “The expected king and liberator of the Jews.”
Jones also focused on a passage that describes a messiah as someone “who is expected to do wonderful things, especially to rescue people from a very difficult or dangerous situation, or who is believed to have done these things.”
However, Jones appeared to have deleted the video he initially shared showing off the new tattoo.
The art on his head isn't the only new addition, as Jones also had “Beyoncé Giselle Knowles” tattooed on his arm in tribute to the singer. TMZ.
It comes after a series of disturbing clashes Jones had with police late last year.
In the most recent incident, Jones could be heard yelling at officers in footage he shared on his Instagram account.
'Mr. Jones, we need to talk about why we're here right now,” an officer says before a voice, believed to be Jones, started shouting.
'To wait!' Jones is heard screaming as officers approached him. “Wait no!”

A Maricopa County officer tries to talk to Chandler Jones, who refused to listen
An officer is heard telling Jones that they are “here to help,” but the shaky footage disappears shortly afterwards.
The troubled NFL agent appears to have recorded the exchange with Maricopa County (Arizona) police, which took place on November 27 and did not result in an arrest, department spokespeople told DailyMail.com.
According to another video Jones posted online, police also recently visited him to discuss an outdoor fire he started.
“We got a call that you were burning your furniture,” the officers told Jones in the strange clip.
This is the latest in a series of run-ins with law enforcement that Jones has had in recent months following his release from the Raiders.
Jones has faced questions about his mental stability for months after the Raiders sidelined him with a non-football injury at the start of the season. Since then, he has posted on social media about a range of disturbing topics.
This behavior continued in September when he appeared to suggest that Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels had somehow staged Hernandez's 2017 suicide in a Massachusetts prison. Hernandez, a tight end for the New England Patriots, hanged himself in 2017 after his arrest and conviction for the murder of Odin Lloyd. McDaniels worked directly with Hernandez during the troubled star's three-year career from 2010 to 2012.
Jones fueled concerns about his own mental health after posting a rollicking, tearful, self-made video on social media during a breakdown in September. He was later released by the Raiders
Heartbreaking footage from the first of his two recent arrests surfaced in October, showing Jones being taken into police custody after allegedly violating a protection order.
Jones, a 33-year-old former All-Pro and Super Bowl champion, has since been released by the Raiders and rearrested for another alleged violation of the protective order.
The chilling footage shows Jones cooperating with police and remaining friendly as he makes a series of bizarre statements, including an accusation that he was injected with something against his will. The former Syracuse star and brother of UFC legend Jon Jones further acknowledged that he violated a protective order, but claimed his “baby mama” told him “it was fine.”
He also admitted to taking some of the unidentified woman's trash, taking it to his own home and burning some of it before returning the remaining trash to the woman's home just before his arrest.
