A game to decide the winner of the AFC South was moved to the NFL Saturday slate in the final week of the regular season.

The NFL announced that the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders and the matchup between the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars have been moved to its schedule for Saturday, January 7.

Chiefs-Raiders is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET and Titans-Jaguars will kick off around 8:15 and both games will be played on ESPN.

The game between Jaguars & Titans to decide the AFC South title will take place on Saturday

Additionally, the Chiefs and Raiders will also play their final game of the regular season on Saturday.

While the Chiefs-Raiders game is of no playoff significance, the same cannot be said for the Titans-Jaguars.

The 7-9 Titans had been leading the AFC South for most of the season until the Jaguars caught up and then passed them, currently with an 8-8 record.

This game will be the decisive one for the division title: the winner will take the fourth seed in the AFC playoffs and gain home advantage against the fifth seed in the wild card round.

A loss for the Titans would mean the end of their season, but the Jaguars could lose and still find a way to do it.

If Jacksonville falls on Saturday night, they would also need the Patriots, Dolphins and Steelers to lose to clinch seventh place and the AFC’s final wild card.

As for the rest of the games scheduled for this weekend, the NFL will announce the schedules for the remaining 14 games after Monday’s game between the Bengals and Bills concludes.

A loss eliminates the Titans, but the Jaguars could lose and make the Wild Card with some help.
