The NFL fined the New Orleans Saints and Cameron Jordan more than HALF A MILLION dollars after he ‘faked an injury’ in the Tampa Bay loss… but the running back criticizes the ‘ridiculous’ punishment and reveals that he will file an appeal

The New Orleans Saints, two of their coaches and star defensive end Cameron Jordan have been fined more than half a million dollars combined for “faking an injury” during a 17-16 loss to Tampa Bay.

The franchise itself was fined $350,000, head coach Denis Allen was penalized $100,00, while Jordan and co-defender Ryan Nielson will likely receive $50,000.

the report it comes from ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter, who also adds that all parties are prepared to appeal.

Prior to the Saints’ collapse, Jordan looked down the sideline before taking a knee, aiming for his leg, before moving to the ground causing a delay in proceedings.

The moment in question came on a fourth play and 10 in which Brady looked ready to line up for center before Jordan forced a medical timeout.

As a result, the Buccaneers punted before ultimately winning the NFC South game.

New Orleans issued a statement Saturday afternoon, vehemently denying the claims.

“The New Orleans Saints deny any accusation of deliberately delaying the game Monday night. Defensive end Cameron Jordan felt pain in his foot after a third-down play and sought medical attention.

Saints head coach Dennis Allen was also fined, along with the organization and a coordinator.

‘He entered the blue medical tent and was examined by the medical staff, and after the examination, he was recorded and was able to finish the game. He had an MRI the next day in New Orleans and it was confirmed that he suffered an acute sprain to the left midfoot.

He has been at the facility every day receiving treatment for the injury he sustained on the construction site. The Saints will appeal the fines through the proper channels and believe the allegations will be proven incorrect.”

Jordan made several references to the fine on Twitter, first writing: “The most expensive ticket to date in the @NFL came yesterday…added a stressor for no reason.”

Numerous tweets followed, with the All-Pro ringing in the league.

‘Are the tickets made by the nfl open to the public? I feel like this should be public knowledge. Because some of the fines are silly but this 1… ridiculous.

The Saints’ pass rusher rang in the league after news of the hefty fine.

‘Anyway, and why a “deliberate action to delay the game” before a tm punts? The NFL just wanted a new patek aquanaut or summ… not out of me.

Jordan ended his online tirade by revealing his initial reaction to the ticket news before the prevailing sentiments surfaced.

“The agent told me about it and I initially laughed and said, that’s ridiculous, clearly aggravated,” Jordan wrote.

“Then he told me how much the fine was and it has bothered me ever since.”

Jordan and the Saints seemed confident to leave Florida with a win before collapsing late in the game.
