NFL fans RIP Rodney Harrison for calling Xavier Worthy ‘little skinny guy’ – before Chiefs rookie scores stunning touchdown against Baltimore Ravens

NFL fans immediately went ballistic on Rodney Harrison after the former Patriots player booed Xavier Worthy, which led to the Chiefs rookie scoring a touchdown in the NFL.

“Xavier Worthy is a little, skinny guy, he doesn’t scare me. I know he’s fast, but he doesn’t scare me,” Harrison said before the Chiefs opened the season Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens. Harrison is currently in Brazil for the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers on Friday night.

Worthy wasted no time in forcing Harrison, who won two Super Bowls in his career with the Patriots, to eat his words at Arrowhead Stadium.

Worthy took the ball from Patrick Mahomes and fired into the end zone from 21 yards out, sending Arrowhead Stadium into a frenzy and tying the game at 7-7 in the first quarter.

And it wasn’t just Chiefs fans who wanted to ridicule Harrison when Worthy crossed the line. Thousands of NFL fans showed up on social media.

Xavier Worthy scored a stunning touchdown for the Chiefs against the Ravens on Thursday

“It only took Rodney Harrison five plays to make a fool of himself with that comment before the game,” one fan wrote, while another wrote, “I’d rather have my wide receiver score touchdowns than have Rodney Harrison be afraid of me, but that’s just the way I am.”

Another viewer wrote on X: ‘Rodney Harrison was always my favorite player as a kid, but objectively he’s a bad analyst.’

The Chiefs drafted Worthy in the first round this year and Worthy set a record for the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

The Chiefs had to use a higher draft order than the Buffalo Bills to select Worthy from Texas.

The Chiefs sent the 32nd pick, along with a fourth- and seventh-round pick, to the Bills for the 28th pick, a fourth- and seventh-round pick.

Many felt at the time that Worthy finally gave Mahomes the kind of speedy, deep threat he hadn’t had since Tyreek Hill left for the Miami Dolphins. He was an ominous offensive force as the Chiefs look to pull off the first three-peat of the Super Bowl era.
