NFL fans lose their minds over Lions star Jake Bates’ ‘freaky’ sideline act
Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates set the internet on fire during Monday Night Football after ESPN cameras caught him doing a “freaky” act on the sidelines.
Near the end of their 40-34 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, Bates could be seen lying awkwardly on the turf as he slowly moved his hips around and stuck out his tongue.
And after being stunned by the Lions star’s raunchy moment, NFL fans lost their minds on social media.
One user commented: ‘what is your freaky a** doing Jake Bates’.
“They make my dude dirty lmaoo,” wrote another.
A third joked: ‘Jake Bates is here unpacking on national television.’

Fans went crazy on social media after seeing Bates’ bizarre position during the match
“Put your tongue away bro,” said a fourth.
“LOL when he sticks his tongue out it makes it worse,” another fan agreed.
While one person simply admitted: ‘I knew this was going to be a meme when I saw it’.
Despite what it looked like, Bates was actually using a well-known technique to fix a knot in his leg by lying down on a softball when he was seen looking steamy on the sidelines.
Still, the moment was strange enough that ESPN revisited it after Bates kicked a 42-yard field goal to extend the Lions’ lead that night.
He helped Detroit (14-2) break their franchise record for wins in a single season as they defeated the 49ers (6-10) on the road for the first time since 1975.
Jared Goff threw three touchdown passes as Dan Campbell’s team prepared for their crucial Week 18 division showdown with Minnesota, which will decide the NFC’s best player entering the playoffs.
