The Las Vegas Raiders carried out a demolition job of the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday Night Football – resulting in a scoreline never seen before.

Vegas went up 49-0 before the Chargers managed a single point and didn't stop after that. LA was able to get two late touchdowns, but the damage was already done and the Raiders won 63-21.

That led to a concept affectionately known in NFL circles as “Scorigami” – a phenomenon in which the final score of a game is one that has never been achieved before.

This victory marks the 1,083rd unique final score in the long history of the NFL.

The concept was initially created by Jon Bois, executive producer, creative director and elite storyteller of SB Nation, who went back into the history of the competition and discovered every score ever achieved in a game.

The Las Vegas Raiders dominated the Los Angeles Chargers and made history along the way

But a 63-21 final also means more than a victory: it's the 1083rd unique NFL score, or Scorigami

He first introduced the concept about seven years ago in an episode of his “Chart Party” series, in which he found and recorded every NFL score ever made in a video titled 'Every NFL Score Ever'.

The concept of Scorigami has existed ever since has taken on a life of its own – evolves beyond Bois's creation and into a concept in the minds of many statistical fans in football.

There is even a Twitter account which keeps track of the results of all games taking place at a given time and analyzes the probability that a Scorigami could occur in a match. Throughout tonight's match, many possible and probable 'Scorigami' outcomes were predicted – including scores of 36-23, 45-9, 52-6, 59-3, 63-0, 63-14 and 70-7.

But now with a final score of 63-21 there is one more Scorigami to fall off the board.

This concept is rare, but not unheard of this season. Seven matches have already ended with a Scorigami result this year.

They are: Ravens 25-9 Texans in Week 1, Dolphins 70-20 Broncos and Eagles 25-11 Buccaneers in Week 3, Cowboys 43-20 Rams in Week 8, Texans 39-37 Buccaneers in Week 9, Broncos 29-12 Browns in week 12, and dolphins 45-15 commanders in week 13.

The highest-scoring Scorigami of all time came back on November 27, 1966, when the Washington Redskins defeated the New York Giants 72-41 in the highest-scoring game in NFL history.

The lowest remaining score that could end as Scorigami is a 2-2 draw.

The Raiders achieved that score in part thanks to a pick six and this scoop-and-score strip sack

But Thursday night's game meant more than just Scorigami for the Las Vegas Raiders.

The 63 points they scored were the most in a single game in franchise history.

That included a pick-six and a scoop-and-score strip sack as the Chargers turned the ball over five times — four of which were fumbles.
