NFL Draft 2024: Meet Caleb Williams’ new girlfriend Alina Thyregod after the Danish beauty – who he went to high school with – starred on the red carpet before her boyfriend was picked at No. 1 by the Chicago Bears

After securing his spot on an NFL roster with the Chicago Bears, Caleb Williams – the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft – also has a new girlfriend, it seems.

As the former USC quarterback prepared to be selected to lead the Bears into a new era, Williams set the internet on fire as he walked the red carpet with Alina Thyregod.

The couple was clearly on the same page, as Williams wore a sharp Chrome Hearts suit, while his girlfriend wore a matching silver dress.

Before the design, Williams said he would even paint his pinky nail silver to match his girlfriend’s dress. “I feel good about myself,” Williams told reporters of his plans to paint his nail.

But who is Alina Thyregod? Information appears to be limited and her social media presence is particularly quiet.

Thyregod’s Instagram is private, and she’s not particularly active on TikTok either: she’s only posted 12 times in the last four years. However, two of her messages featured Williams.

One of them was posted in January and looked like the first signs that they were a couple.

It showed them, apparently on holiday, in a luxurious paradise hotel. Thyregod stands in a green bikini before Williams jumps on her back to see if she can handle his weight.

They eventually hugged while laughing and the post was viewed just under 18,000 times.

Thyregod then also posted a behind-the-scenes video of the couple getting ready for the Draft on Thursday night. It showed her getting her hair done before it was cut, in a photo of them dressed and ready to go. She captioned it: “Concept Day.”

As they celebrated Williams’ selection, she and a friend posted a photo to her Instagram Story, wearing a Chicago hat, with the caption, “go bearssss.”

Williams had been dating Valery Orellana since 2020 and with a photo of them going to prom as partners, the quarterback made their relationship “Instagram official.”

Although the post has since been deleted, the couple continues to be a presence in each other’s lives, as seen on their Instagram stories, with Valery continually supporting Caleb throughout his Heisman-winning college career.

Orellana will graduate from UNC Chapel Hill in 2025 and is pursuing a BA in Public Relations, Advertising and Applied Communications, as well as a degree in Business Administration.

It remains unclear exactly when Williams and Thyregod officially started dating after the first TikTok post appeared, but we do know that she was confirmed for the Draft a few weeks ago.

On April 13, Williams tweeted: “Wait until you see my service suit and my lady’s dress. 1 of 1s.’

The former Heisman winner also revealed that he and Thyregod dated when they were students at Gonzaga College High School.

Williams also said on The Pivot Podcast earlier this month: “She’s from Europe, Danish. She moved from DC because her father had a job in DC.

“I met her at the end of her term. We dated a bit. Then we put an end to it.

‘Kept in strong communication for four years. We’re dating again.’

And when it came to Draft Night, they looked very much in love.

After posing on the red carpet with Williams’ mother, Dayna Price, they took their seats in the green room in Detroit and started playing cards.

When NFL commissioner Roger Goodell called Williams’ name, the pair shared a loving embrace before he took the stage.

Now Bears fans can expect to see her at Soldier Field next season after her boyfriend was chosen to lead Chicago into the future.
